  1. Ugly finish to the game. Camels missed way to many shots down the stretch. Franklin was extremely poor from the line in the last couple minutes. Officiating was extremely inconsistent throughout. The whistle needed to be swallowed, especially in the 4th quarter.
  2. There were streamers hanging down through the entrance to the locker room. You could not pass without separating them. Some streamers came down as he rushed and pulled through them, yes. They were also picked up.
  3. I said "what WILL rank as ONE of the toughest schedules.". They have played 3 teams in the top 20 since the latest rankings. Topping it off with the defending state champs. Anticipate their final strength of schedule to be 20 or higher. So, yes, one of the toughest. There are almost 300 schools.
  4. Campbell County is: 8-2 vs the 9th Region 8-1 vs the 10th Region If they have something left to prove to NKY, then we still need to prove water freezes. They beat Ryle at Ryle. They beat Highlands at Highlands. They beat Notre Dame at Notre Dame. They beat Cooper at Cooper. Also beat: Conner, Boone, Dixie, Newport. They were within 3 points with under a minute AT Holmes. They beat Mason County. They beat Walton in the pre-season as well as Male. Campbell County has already made it's statement to NKY. Nothing left to prove. They are one of the top teams in the area. Finishing up on Friday what will rank as one of the toughest schedules in the state of KY. Not even counting the top ten teams they played from Ohio and Illinois. Camels are looking forward to tournament time! Good luck to everyone entering the post season!
  5. Mason County is ranked #1 in the 10th. Campbell County is #2 and along with a couple others will challenge. Campbell is 5-0 vs the 10th. They have beat Highlands, Conner, Notre Dame...and stand 4-1 vs the 9th. They lost by 1 point at NCC. "Wow"?! As for the game, Lawnboy was spot on. Although, from the other side, we felt Campbell could have easily won by 10-12 if they had not missed many open looks as well. Davenport was absolutely the difference maker for the Breds.
  6. The only things diplorable was the #2 in the state's conditioning, and three minutes of stall ball.
  7. The only thing Holmes was cheated on was their conditioning. They were bending over, begging to come out of the game in the fourth quarter. That's when their coach ran like a chicken, stalled for three minutes and went to a 2-3 zone praying to escape with a W.
  8. WNBA??? I hope you all are joking right? The girl plays D3 basketball she will be lucky to play in Europe. Watch a major D1 game and see what real professional talent is.
  9. I want to start by saying I am someone who has played/coached Bball in the nky area over the last 20 years. I have also spent extensive time with multiple D1 teams in this time. This said college "signings" in this nky area and honestly the state of ky is laughable. If players and parents alike would stop waiting for their "star player" to be seen by colleges the better off they would be. Recruiting is purely marketing and sales. I talk to college coaches weekly who ask me about players. The first thing they ask...? Got film or highlights for him. Parents and players alike reading this make a demo tape asap. Now the fun part.... Send the tape and a resume (just like applying for a job) to any and every school you would ever consider going to or playing for. Granted this takes a lot of effort. Many people will read this and laugh. As someone who has used this practice I have seen both full ride scholarships for division 2 and 1 athletes in this area. I say all of this not to discredit the area but to encourage. Many talented ball players in nky settle for lesser schools bc the aren't recruited. Get yourself recruited! Good luck to all!
  10. Congrats to all these young men. Wrobleski and Harris will kill it at Georgetown.
  11. Congrats to Jack and Tyler. I saw every game his dad played in at Bellevue . I wish I'd have gotten to see Jack play in person.
  12. Congrats to Jackson. I thought he might try for a golf scolly, but this is a nice surprise.
  13. Nothing against Mike Woolf, but Ryle probably needs to clean house at this point. Barth also has something Woolf doesn't that they are probably looking for. Head coach experience and successful experience at that.
  14. Ryle administration would be complete morons to not interview Jeff Barth if he expressed any interest at all. Talk about a character guy. He could handle anything the TC Mafia could throw at him. They would be in for a rude awakening if they thought they could lead Jeff Barth around. He coulda me that program relevant again quickly if they get out of his way.
  15. I also saw several players hug one another after the game was over. Emotions run hot in this rivalry, but in the end there is a lot of respect for each other. Many of these guys will end up at the same colleges and be classmates, frat brothers, business associates, etc. When they meet in the future it is almost always as friends with a unique connection that is the HHS/ CCHS rivalry. I've seen it many times over the years. Great game fellas!
  16. Good ACT scores get you into UK. That's Great. Good SAT scores get you into Harvard. That's the truth.
  17. This is just a bunch of nonsense. HHS would beat SK all 10 times if they played them 10 times, and twice if they played a double header on Sunday. Coaching, Talent and Speed kill, and HHS has more of all of things than SK.
  18. For my money, I wouldn't take anybody in Greater Cincinnati over Drew Houliston right now. Kid flat out can play.
  19. Yeah, doesn't sound as if JH is as good as they have been in the recent past. Things could get ugly next week for them at home.
  20. The girls in the stands are managers/statisticians. There are a few of them who have been sitting behind the bench all season. I'm guessing they might be asking the players about who scored, or who got the assist etc. if they missed it. It's been going on all year. We could start another thread called "Chicks on the Bench, Agree or disagree?" Sam Wyche wouldn't have it! BTW, Glad they're not losing on purpose!
  21. What? No love for the Gooch? The guy only out ran everybody on the field several times every game and was the QB that brought the Birds back from their longest Championship drought since the 50's. He was All State and NKY player of the year in 89. Gotta give him a little love.
  22. Egotistical hicks had to have his grudge match see how well that turned out for him... Hahahah
  23. How about Newport defense by Aaroyl Wright held Hatton to 22 and Campbell to 10 kid can guard any and all sizes.
