School Yard

I say do away with the districts and have one big Regional Tournament. Seed the top 4-8 teams. It would make it more fair and fun for everyone. I get tired of seeing the same teams playing each other in the District Tournaments. Maybe the seeded teams could be the regular season district champs.

It showed alot of heart but why? Everyone knows CovCath's strength is inside, they gave Jake Thelan 8 or 9 layups playing man to man. I thought he was going to have 40. Didn't make much sense to me.

Anyone ever see Larry Bird play? Always the least athletic guy on the floor, but always the best basketball player.

CovCath is 10 points better when the Birds are healthy, if they're not it will be a long night for the Birds.

Warren has the longest arms I think I've ever seen. His wing span has to be over 7'. At 6'9" he really doesn't need to jump that high to be well over the rim.

Lloyd put on a great tournament. Thanks to everyone that worked so hard to make it special for the kids and fans. I really enjoyed it.

Wow, how is Mason County ever going to get out of their district? Weak region, only a hand full of teams even have a chance to win it.

And have to go all the way to Mason County to play a regional game, no thanks.

When did I say it was a NewCath parent and when did I say that Anderson County was not a very good team. I didn't see the game. I was just passing on information. Please don't read anything more into it.

I would be surprised if Campbell keeps it within 10. They are beat up and CovCath is tough at home. 75-60.

Heard from a parent that NCC didn't play very well, especially at the end. Did say that freshman Nikki Kiernan did have 17 rebounds again today. WOW!

They will play but might be a little rusty and not quite in basketball shape yet.

It was impressive how all of Owensboro was at the game but they did had a much shorter drive than NCC. I personally thought NCC had a fantastic following, I'd bet 3500. Not bad support for 40 football players.

Should be interesting early with Giesler, Hightchew, Doyle and Wolterman all still in football, but Zack Ryan, Michale Bueter, Tyler Schields and Andy Miller all have played well in the scrimages and should get alot of varsity playing time.

He played as a freshman but had a foot injury that kept him away from basketball the last 2 years.

It's obvious that after the first 8-10 players Rick hasn't seen any of the others play. Jake Thelen and Kellen Smith not even in the top 60, come on!

That just shows you right there how inaccurate ratings can be.
