I had heard that rumor but didn't want to post. Interesting move for Henley.

Jake is a great kid, wise beyond his years. I hope that everything works out for him at Hanover. He has had an uphill battle with injuries.

Maybe he just wanted to get away and get out of Covington for a while.

Not a good sign for his prospect status that he has yet to take the ACT.

Foster is a great player and had a great post season and season but just didn't have all-state numbers. I am suprised about Euton.

I agree with you 100% that it shows you just how good you have to be to be a D1 player. Ricardo Johnson has been a dominating player in NKY Basketball since he was a Sophomore. It really takes a lot to be a great player, we see these kids a lot and want them to get good recognition. But to be a high caliber DI player you really have to be something special.

Don Weber is a legend! I will really miss catching this show. I always enjoyed the preview shows and the (sometimes painful!) interviews with the players and coaches.

Any word on the NKY DIII players? Pohlgeers from Beechwood, Bryan from Villa, any of the kids from Dayton?

I have heard some rumors that NKU is looking at Jeremiah Johnson and Jared Polson. I have not been able to confirm but from a decent source.

But what does it really matter if a kid wears a protective arm sleeve? Is he/she causing any danger to anyone else? I don't think it really matters.

Dave Faust from the 9th region?????? Really? I think Faust is a fine coach but this one has me scratching my head.

I think its a stretch to say they will win a region, but I wouldn't be shocked if the Tigers can find their way back to the Region with this group of kids. I think Shumate has proved that he is a good coach with what he has accomplished in Ft. Mitchell. I am not sure that he would jump from there unless it is the right opportunity.

I don't know what position he could be taking the pulse of, there are no open positions in NKY to my knowledge. I would be shocked if he left Beechwood. He has done a great job building a program at Beechwood. Since he took over the Tigers have been a tough matchup for a lot of teams, and they have dominated DIII with only one loss in three years.

I personally think it starts with a strong youth football program. I think that helps build programs. I am don't have dog in this fight just one man's opinion. I do think there are A LOT of teams that work hard. Highlands does seem to have the formula in place, its called tradition. Kids in Ft. Thomas grow up wanting to play for the Bluebirds so they start at a young age.

I think most Holmes fans will be pulling for Newport when they begin their game at Rupp. I think most fans of the 9th will pull for their region come state tournament time. I know I will!

Each time I have seen Campbell County play they have been well coached. I don't care for their style of play but that is just a difference in opinion and philosophy. But I think Code is a fine coach. Be careful what you wish for, the grass is not always greener on the other side. I think you could do a lot worse that Coach Code.

This is more dissapointing to me than anything some of these KIDS did on the court.

They have definately made it fun. They played three years in NKY with a huge target on their back. I wish them all luck in their future endeavors.

I made comments in the preview polls that Newport would be good this season, but I really didn't think they would take the 9th region title in such dominating fashion. Congrats to Coach Russell and the Wildcats, make us proud at Rupp.
