theguru Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 I understand Coach Shumate had a "run in" with one of the powers that be at Beechwood a while back and it has him taking the pulse of at least one other coaching position. Is this overblown or is their some truth to Coach Shumate looking at the menu? Anyone?
RomanEmpire Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 Would the person he had the "run in" with possibly have a last name that begins with the 4th letter in the alphabet?

The "run in" is not the issue, the issue is what other jobs Coach Shumate is looking into and if he will be at Beechwood next year.
theguru Posted March 11, 2010 Author Posted March 11, 2010 Is the Ft. Mitchell Mafia at it again? You know it is the Park Hills Mafia... In Fort Mitchell it is The Saddle Club Psychos!
The Observer Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 I may be wrong, but didn't he try to get the Highlands job last year?
Flotsam Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 You know it is the Park Hills Mafia... In Fort Mitchell it is The Saddle Club Psychos! It is contrary to Agency policy to acknowledge the existence of the so called "Park Hills Mafia". If such an organization were to exist, which existence is expressly denied, said organization would exist solely to promote virtue, wisdom, temperance and beating highlands.
SportsGuy41017 Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 How long has it been since Beechwood had a run of good basketball teams? Maybe as far back as the Shipley era? Shumate has the Beechwood program to where they can be in the hunt to win D-3 every year, as well as play with and beat some of the big boys. Why would one want to turn up the heat on this success? Didn't Shumate play at Cov Cath?

The first rule of the Park Hills Mafia is there is no Park Hills Mafia...

SportsGuy41017 Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 I thought Coach Bohmer did a nice job winning a lot games when he made his pass through Fort Mitchell. You know, I forgot all about him, how many years was he there?
Jason Bucklen Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 I thought Coach Bohmer did a nice job winning a lot games when he made his pass through Fort Mitchell. Bohmer one of my fav Beechwood people of all time. Not ha ha but back to the subject Rick should stay at Beechwood because he has done a great job there but from hearing from other coache's from other sports well I wonder what sport that is HA HA He has had a few run in's.
Reality Check Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 I don't know what position he could be taking the pulse of, there are no open positions in NKY to my knowledge. I would be shocked if he left Beechwood. He has done a great job building a program at Beechwood. Since he took over the Tigers have been a tough matchup for a lot of teams, and they have dominated DIII with only one loss in three years.
