I felt the same way, anyhow, guess it doesn't really matter. I am assuming that the all "A" organizes everything and its a way to keep expenses down. Either way great win for the Wildcats, good to see a public school finally get one! :banana:

I did see three in the pictures for the finals, so I stand corrected on the finals. But I know there were only two for both semi-final games.

There were not three officials in the semi-final games, or the quarterfinals. I know that for sure.

On an unrelated note on officials I was really suprised that there were not three officials for these games. This is a big tournament for these kids and I think its a shame they do not provide three officials for these games. Anyone know who makes that decision to only have two? I was not at this game but it sounds like three officials could have helped.

It is one of the measurable statistics of this argument. Bad coaches can win games with talent....I get it. But when you are discussing these types of scenarios it is just one thing to take a look at. It's all for good discussion!

If I remember correctly they seed the top 2 and draw for the rest. I believe.....

I really don't think so. He has done a good job with that Dayton team this year but when talking about the top coaches in the region I don't quite think he is in that company. Not sure when he took over but Dayton hasn't exactly been tearing it up the past few years. 15-11, 11-16, 10-17, and 4-21 in the last 4 seasons. (I can't remember if Dilts was there for the 4-21 season) Dayton has a talented team of seniors this year but not quite ready to crown Dilts as a top coach in NKY. Please don't think I am taking away from what that team or he has accomplished but when talking about the top just don't see it.

That is why he is my #1. I think being a coach is more than just x's and o's without a doubt. Especially with the uphill battle that some of those boys climb.

Valid point, Beechwood did not seem to have an answer for Thelan, especially if you see the box score. And clearly have more depth. But are the days of CovCath blowing out Beechwood over? I remember the Colonels hanging 100 on the Tigers just a few years ago. I think if they can meet up again in the District we could be in for another barn burner. There was not a lot of respect for this Beechwood team coming into the game and I think they showed a lot of heart. Great district game!

Holy Cross does not have anyone who can score. I think Holy Cross will score in the 20's. They will try their best to slow it down. This one will be ugly!

All I know about him is he was the JV Coach at Princeton when Bill Brewer passed away from a heart attack. Brewer had been the coach at Roger Bacon prior to coaching at Princeton, the Bacon team that beat LeBron.

I agree, an invitation to walk on and a scholarship are two very different situations. I wish him luck in making the team and improving his game. What a great opportunity for this young man.

When Pittman plays hard this team is scary good. He can make this team go. He plays with a lot of emotion that can get in the way. In my opinion Holmes is missing that outside threat right now to force the defense to extend. With no one to shoot the ball defenses can sag to prevent penetration and take away Pittman in the post. Not that they have too many flaws. That Princeton team is very good and Holmes gave them a heck of a game. Holmes will roll through the 9th this year.

My prediction is this game will be cancelled. But if they do play I will take Dayton in a close one.

On the outside looking in, not really any quality wins for the GreenDevils.

My best guess, and this is only a guess is the player would shoot the free throws since the free throws are the result of a foul and the techinical occured after that foul. After the free throws he/she would sit.
