  1. A bad snap on second down for a loss of 15 gives away the great field position. Ryle punts again and Kitchens with a 4 yard return. SK starts at own 22. Turner is a solid back. Lee and Turner alternate runs for a first down at 38. Lee is doing a good job with two keepers for first diwns
  2. Nice drive by SK including a 34-yard pass to Kitchens with a great catch that looked like it could have been picked. Turner fumbles on first down and Gavin Lyons returns it about 40 yards to SK 34.
  3. Ryle survives a first down sack by Selm and completes a 4th and 1 from their own 40. One more first down on an 11-yard run by Savage. SK defense holds and forces punt from 38. Downed at the 2.
  4. Cool and fairly windy night at Borland Stadium. Neers in all white. Ryle in black jerseys with white pants. SK to kick off into the wind.
  5. The forecast I saw looks good with rains ending mid afternoon. Cool night in the low 50s. The old grass field days would have been some slip ‘n slide.
  6. Same song. Different season. SK does not pose a threat to the top 5 or 6 teams in 6A this year. I remember when Trinity visited SK last year and an upset was in the forecast. The only upset I remember was SK being upset because there were two halves to play.
  7. I wouldn’t be surprised to see us play our best game of the year vs the Niners, and an upset is not impossible.
  8. Excellent point. The Camels obviously improved drastically since earlier in the season and were in position to win both games against Ryle and SK. Kudos to Coach Weinrich and the Camel players for putting in the work!
  9. The ugliest 3-3 record possible but a win is a win. Seattle is a good football team, so that means the Bengals are a good team, too. We haven’t played like it consistently. Two excellent opening drives and then our offense was offensive - lol!
  10. We have had some poor offensive halves this year and will be lucky to win.
  11. Same here about Trey. The person I know who lives next door to him refers to him as a big ole lovable teddy bear.
  12. Sure looks like defense will have to win this game after a poor punt.
  13. Classic Joe B drive needed here to put this game away. Both Ds are playing great.
  14. I expect a game that could go either way and believe the Raiders will win a close one. In the CC-SK thread, you stated that Smith threw for 116 yards and a TD. Great Crossing and Campbell are below average passing teams. Verax and friends will have a lot of success by ground, air (and maybe sea on the Raiders ship - lol!)
  15. Congrats to SK on the win. Camels are much improved from the beginning of the year. Two heartbreaking losses in a row vs Ryle and SK.
  16. Congrats to Ryle on winning on the road. Looking forward to next Friday night hosting SK.
  17. I gladly eat some tiger-flavored crow. I held my nose and voted for the Cardinals believing Joe B would still be immobile. Instead, he was much closer to normal. The Bengals have a looooong way to go but were in similar shape in 21 and 22. Beat the next set of Birds at home next week and get to the bye at 3-3.
  18. Ryle is not a 6A title contender, neither is Simon Kenton.
  19. Congrats to Ryle on clawing back at the end. Sounds like the Camels were well prepared and kudos to Coach Weinrich for going for the win. Final score should be 37-36 from MC44’s info. From total yardage recap, I assume Ryle turned the ball over a time or two. Anyone at the game with more info? Thanks to BubbyKY for updates.
  20. Go ahead and use a permanent marker. Highlands will end the regular season 9-1.
  21. If Joe B continues to play without his normal escapability and uncanny scrambling ability, the Redbirds will win. Many of the Bengal victories the past 2 years would have been losses without Joe’s mobility. He is not the same player right now that we are used to seeing.
  22. On way to parking lot I heard a 70-yard pass reception then a one yard TD run to make it 56-35.
  23. Nice drive by X and surviving a near miss on a pick 6 by Ryle. Yates then punches it in from 5 yards out. 56-28 X with 7:43 to play. I’m headed home. Great effort by Ryle. X was clearly better.
