  1. Kudos to Cooper on another great season and phenomenal 3-year run of dominating the 9th region. Great effort vs. SHA again. Well done, Lady Jags. NKY is proud of you!
  2. Congrats to Dan! I believe that everyone on BGP will pull for him to enjoy success, just like we did for Bryson. It’s great that he teaches at the school, which is essential for relational bonding.
  3. I hated to see that Tay went down at the beginning of the game, and Newport dug deep to win without a star player. Kudos to the Wildcats. Thanks to 859 Sports radio. I enjoyed listening. From a listener’s perspective, it sounded like the refs had no control over the game.
  4. What a great game by 2 outstanding teams. That was fun to watch (except for LexCath fans). State finals caliber game for sure. Congrats to Great Crossing on the comeback win.
  5. SK is a great “second half” story this season. I’m pulling for the Neers to win their third straight regional game and cut down a net or two. Good luck, SK!
  6. Over 40% of BGPers have voted for CovCath. Cooper beat them earlier this year in Park Hills, so a slight majority of people believing the Jags will win should not be a shocker. No one, especially the Jags, is underestimating CovCath.
  7. Cooper is playing the best of any team in the 9th right now. They will always play solid defense. Only an off-shooting night keeps the Jags from Rupp. If they get beat, it will be a last-possession ending. Good luck to the Jags!
  8. Thanks VOR. I was going by radio play-by-play commentary and not in attendance. A comment was made that the strategy worked.
  9. Ryle executed the game plan well but just not quite enough to pull the upset. It was an interesting decision by Coach Snapp to foul Evan up by two with less than 20 seconds left since he have struggled from the line. Turned out to be a good decision rather than potentially losing by 1 on a 3-pointer. I don’t remember seeing that strategy employed before in a 2-point game. Congrats to Newport for surviving and I was proud of the Raiders’ grit and effort.
  10. Cooper won by that score. Fun game to watch. Both teams played with good intensity. Congrats to the Jags.
  11. Excellent job Raiders. Coach Dorning has them playing with good intensity. It’s great to see an 8-game win streak after so many difficult seasons!
  12. Coach Warner had a positive impact on many young men at Boone. Kudos for a job well done!
  13. Nice win by Ryle. Sully is such an excellent coach, and Cooper has dominated Ryle in basketball. Coach Dorning has the Raiders playing with good intensity.
  14. Congrats to Cooper. I will gladly take a medium serving of crow with crème brûlée and cake. I preferred our Boone Co. friends to win but voted for the Birds thinking they would win by something like 31-14. The Jags run D fared much better in the rematch. Great win! Nice season by Highlands and good luck to the Jags as they go Krogering.
  15. That first cold game of the year lends itself to drops and less accurate throws. I do not expect a nail biter with the Birds controlling LOS. Good luck to both teams.
  16. Congrats to Station. Bad game but a good season by a young Ryle squad to close at 8-5 with losses to 5 quality teams. Best of luck to Coach Hawk and the Defenders in the semis. Definitely a winnable game at Ballard.
  17. Seems like some NKY poll bias. Station is the favorite based on rankings all year long, but the Raiders are capable of pulling the upset. Safe travels and Go Raiders!
  18. Agreed. Tyler catches that ball and the Bengals win a game in which they were outplayed pretty badly. On to Baltimore.
  19. CalPreps margin of 50 looks spot on. Rocks can let any nicked up players rest, which will be advantageous in their title pursuit.
  20. Both teams are well coached. I would expect a tight game decided late. Station is a slight favorite with home field. Pulling for the Raiders to continue their run.
  21. Logan Verax: 21-of-25 for 245 yards and three touchdowns, and 8 scampers for 83 yards and a score. Unofficially, Logan has thrown for 7,753 career yards. That’s second place all-time to Beechwood’s Cam Hergott among NKY QB’s, passing Highlands’ Gino Guidugli. For the 2023 season, Logan has 3,053 passing yards with 27 touchdowns. RECEIVING So. Dylan Lee - 6 - 139, TD Sr. Grady Reynolds - 5 - 82 So. Jacob Savage- guessing 4-30, TD Jr. Landon Lorms- guessing 5 - 45, TD Sr. JR Hays- guessing 3-20, TD Landon threw the end around 65-yard TD pass to Dylan Lee on the first play of the second half to close the door on any thoughts of a BE comeback. Logan is a humble young man and congrats to him and the team. On to Bryan Station.
  22. That’s exceptionally nice of you, Ru! Just trying to encourage people along life’s way and serve whenever possible!
