Great post, PP1. I believe that Coach Dorning has done a great job at Ryle in building a winning culture. You know that both teams will play with great intensity for 32 minutes. For the Raiders to pull the upset of the year in KY basketball, they must outshoot the Blue Colonels, avoid foul trouble, keep rebounds and turnovers even, and get a few breaks. That's a lot to ask against a truly outstanding opponent. The Raiders won't back down, and I look forward to a battle.

Smith, Davis, and Nsuti all hit double figures along with Coppola last night. They are all capable scorers on a regular basis. Broz has had some nice games, too.

It will be a physical war. Cov Cath is the obvious favorite. Both teams have a lot of scoring options, and both teams play with tenacity for 32 minutes. I believe Ryle will continue to play with reckless abandon as there is no "expectation pressure" on them. Go Raiders.

Ryle played really well. They have eliminated all doubt about being the #2 team in the region. Tuesday night, we get to see how far the gap between 1 and 2 has closed since their 22 point loss at CovCath in mid season. Both teams will play with great intensity.

UK tends to win when you least expect it. Cats 79-78.

The draw worked out almost as well if seeded by RPI. HC 1 and Ryle 4 in same bracket with Cooper 2 and ND 3 in the opposite bracket. The only first round swaps would have been: SH vs. Ryle instead of ND Highlands vs. ND instead of Cooper Cooper vs. NCC instead of Highlands Most of us would agree that only 4 teams are capable of winning 3 straight games. Certainly a fair draw for all.

I'll go with WV by 2 in another tight game that could go either way.

Hard to see anything but a buzzer-beater type of finish. I'll take WV by a few.

Nice road win as the Raiders move to 17-7. Ryle has won 13 of their last 14.

MaxPreps shows Ryle 66, Campbell Co. 42. I assume that score is correct. If so, a solid road win for the Raiders.

I hope the Raiders are thinking about tonight's game vs Dixie first. There still seems to be a large gap between CovCath and #2.

I enjoyed watching the game on 859 Sports Radio. Both teams played hard for 32 minutes. Finn Louden made contested shots all over the court as he tried to will the Cougars to victory with 31 points. Ryle was a lot more balanced in scoring. Davis, Nsuti, Coppola and Smith stood out for Ryle. Conner led 45-40 midway through the third, and then Ryle went on a 21-7 run to take their biggest lead at 61-52 with about 5:00 left to play. I can't remember the last time Ryle won the 33rd district regular season. Congrats to the Raiders.

Mr. Sixer is on target. Jacob is definitely a hard-working, blue-collar type of player that fits into Coach Cig's mold. The photo with Fernando is cool. It's amazing to see how he took time for an incoming player last week while preparing to win the national championship. I'm glad that Jacob could enroll early to experience the Hoosier championship run. Jacob is the same character of person that Fernando is. It's all about helping the team develop and working your tail off to be the very best at your position. I do believe that Jacob will be a lot like Aiden Fisher, a beast attacking the ball in traffic or on the edge and blitzing effectively occasionally. It will be extra-competitive at IU now that they are an excellent top-of-the line team. I would not be surprised if Jacob starts at IU by the 2027 season.

That would be a mistake. A modicum of mobility is needed in today's game.

Call me crazy but the Texans are good enough to win the SB if CJS can return to normal ball protection. He is usually a good game manager but not tonight.

Sad way for a career to end for a Hall of Fame QB.

It is so hard to beat the Steelers at their place on Monday night. Not what I expected. The Texans defense is so terrific they weathered the storm of 3 really bad turnovers.
