I would say it is hard to have a freshmen team at the 1A level.

I agree. I thought of that when I asked for the poll, but I wanted to just list all the schools. It will be harder for the coach at Holy Cross to have a big impact, especially in the win column as compared to Atherton/Iroquois. So really it should be a poll with only the bottom dwelling teams on it.

Why didnt Mason have success at Nelson County? It seems like a school you should win 5-6 every year.

If a kid hasnt had a D-1 offer, then he is not a D-1 kid. He could be a possible D-1 kid, but thats it. Even a D-1 walkon offer doesnt make him a D-1 kid.

Just cause you played in the NFL doesnt mean you will be or are a good high school coach.

If the defender isnt in a 3 technique, then he is not a 3 technique. That statement doesnt make since. If the 3 technique moves out to a 5 technique or down to a 1 technique, then he is no longer a 3 technique.

Even the worst coach can have a talented group and win.
