sportanalyst$
Caleb Watkins from Corbin just picked up a 1-AA offer from Wofford, but should receive D1A offers here soon.
footballhd
If a kid hasnt had a D-1 offer, then he is not a D-1 kid. He could be a possible D-1 kid, but thats it. Even a D-1 walkon offer doesnt make him a D-1 kid.

Even a D-1 walkon offer doesnt make him a D-1 kid. Your second sentence seems to contradict your first. I could be wrong, but at this time I don't believe that Will Bardo has been offered. In my opinion, the only reason why is because last year he did not play QB. Bardo is definately D1 material. He is one heck of a QB. Highlands had its first 7 on 7 with Simon Kenton last night and Bardo was dead on.

CoachBuckett
I think there are several kids each year that are D-1 type of kids. Most need that red-shirt year to mature. But Colleges do not want to take a risk on kids. Most want kids that are all ready to play right away. I don't blame them because it is about wins at that level. oldonetechnique
To Clarify: I mean the seniors to be class of 2010, kids who do not have offers on the table but are D1. I am sure some will be listed that are not true division 1 kids but who are some of the top players not offered or signed?
Blockbuster
No kid from the 2010 class can be signed right now. Signing day for the 2010 class is the first Wednesday in February of 2010..

Ram
 What is a D-1 athlete? It's an often sought after, but seldom seen, and never agreed upon athlete. And no matter how may D1 coaches speak to, contact, and offer a player, there will still be fans from other schools who say that that D1 athlete is not a D1 athlete. Blackshirts
I have to say it is great to hear that so many great schools are looking at Kentucky high school football players.
Chant_50
I know playing bowl subdivision ball is a big draw for a young kid, but Wofford is a great school. If a young man has his priorities in place schools like Wofford, Furman, and Samford offer solid football and great academics. If Caleb Watkins has an offer in hand from Wofford, he has drawn the interest of a top notch coach and program. Best of luck in his senior season.
