Why were so many players out?

Collins 38 Shelby County 19

Shebly is not good this year. This score really doesn't tell us anything new about Collins. -
Boyle County 71 Western Hills 14

Robinson is very good. Hills is not, a lot of these numbers are against really bad teams. Catholic is a decent team but never plays defense. -
Western Hills 40 Garrard County 36

Knox Central 34 Franklin County 0

Franklin was close to double digit turnovers. Long drive home for them. Holleran kid is an athlete, colleges need to pick this kid up 6'3 220 fastest kid I seen tonight. -

Go Flyers! Congrats coach James. -
4A Playoffs John Hardin at Shelby County
oldonetechnique replied to LVGambla32's topic in KY Football (High School)
I think Shelby is far better coached than John Hardin. Talent level would go to John Hardin. Shelby will win in a close game. I think the passing game of Shelby is the difference the QB throws strikes off of the play action and motion fakes. -
That may have been the Freshman game was 6 minute quarters and that is the conference rules. JV is supposed to be 8 but the home team decides on that. So it would have been Boyle Counties calls. As far as new players....the answer is No actually we played more kids in the last game vs. Boyle since it was a home game. So was no new players and actually less players made the trip.

Win is a Win! Keep fighting young Flyers. Defense or no defense Spencer goes down. -
Franklin County/Beechwood Predictions

What's the word from both camps? Is everyone healthy and ready to go? Seen FC having some long evenings this week. Had quite a few in ice. -
Franklin County 55 Shelby Valley 0
oldonetechnique replied to Randy Parker's topic in KY Football (High School)
I think jury is still out on the flyers, Shelby Valley wasn't much competition. This team for FC is very young as well, and has itself 7-8 new starters on each side of the ball, and two new coordinators and a new interim head coach. But they did play hard and enthusiastic football I am told! -
Open Job: Franklin County

I hope who ever it is that comes in; just doesn't mess up this season! Kids have worked hard this off season harder than I have seen in the last few years I have been around. Coach Randy Holleran and Ledford have ran the strength program and its been a total change in attitude and team work. A lot of that is just the kids that are within the program right now. Not the most talented bunch but good kids. -
Any Reports from spring yesterday?

Coach Shane Smith is back on staff I hear?

Qb spot is open for the taking. The two that will most likely be in the Running are Senior Dalton Landrum,or Jeremiah Green Junior. Both are fast and strong. Seeing them on social media they are both strong kids from lifting numbers and both can run. I am curious as well to see who wins out.
-
Flyers will be thin in the top two classes, seniors and Junior classes have some great players and character but thin in numbers, team will need to be in shape and tough. I follow them on social media and by the looks of it kids who I considered tiny last year are 30 lbs. bigger. So hopefully that transfers to the field.

FC did melt down, had several lineman who were injured by week two of the district and a senior class who seemed to get worse as the year went on. QB play was subpar, and play calling suffered at times. FC returns some nice players, but have a ton of question marks. FCHS has new coordinators in all three phases. Will have a new qb, and several new skills guys. In the off season this team has really went after it I went up and watched my boy run the other night and they had some nice young kids who have shot up.

Folks picking the two Shelby County teams, FC beat the number one team last year, and Spencer beat FCHS, and Collins.
-
Maybe little Spencer and Franklin can have a change vs. the Shelby County teams.
