Who do you think wins and why?

I am interested in hearing people's thoughts on this matchup. Beechwood improved offensively from game one to game two. I think they need to improve just as much offensively this week to win this one. The defense is playing very well.

 

Franklin County seems to be playing well. Who are their key players? What do they need to do to beat Beechwood?

 

Who is the favorite to win this one?

I hope my BW Tigers win this one but I think Franklin Co may be just a bit too big for BW

Cantrall today rates Franklin Co. #7 in 4A with a 68.4 rating. He has Beechwood #2 in 1A with a 72.5. With FC traveling, it is hard not to give the nod to the Tigers. Missed the Somerset win, but understood they played much better than week #1 against Lloyd.

Big, big improvement by the Beechwood offense in the Somerset game. The Beechwood defense has played very well in both games.

You don't think Franklin County is that strong this year?

 

No. There loss to Western Hills puzzles me and Western Hills losses by 40 to Madison Southern. Madison Southern may be up but it's just the loss to the western hills that makes me question them.

What do the Tigers have athleticism wise? Are they still as big upfront as normal years?

The Flyers struggled against a middle of the road Western Hills team defensively. If they can make some adjustments in the box to slow down the rush attack of the Tigers this could be an interesting night with their athletic ability on offense if not it could be a long night for the flyers!

This is a different Beechwood team. They are athletic on the line but not big. The line is very young and inexperienced. Good athletes in the skill positions. Overall a younger, smaller and more inexperienced team than usual for Beechwood. But the results so far are good ... perhaps better than many expected.

Beechwood defense has only give up 1 touchdown so far this young season.

Lloyd and Somerset. Both teams are top 15 in 2A, with their only loss to Beechwood. Beechwood shut Lloyd out. In their other two games Lloyd scored 38 and 48. Somerset got one TD versus Beechwood after scoring 42 and 34 in their other two games.

I don't know if I would use Lloyd as a gauge they beat grant and Walton Verona.. I would say the Somerset win is a good one though.. This one could be a good one I hope someone keeps me posted on this game come Friday night!
