Boyle won 5 in a row when there was only 4 classes. Highlands won 3 in a row from 1998-2000. Beechwood has had multiple strings of 2-3 in a row. I guess I am saying, that the usual suspects are still winning the state titles and will probably continue to win them. Basically the 6a system has made it a little easier for them to win, but has given some other teams a chance to make it to the title game.

Do they have Peyton Manning running the O? So, they will have a complex offense that will include the QB receiving 3 plays from the coaches, 2 runs and 1 pass, and then making the decision based on the defense alignment and coverage? Just kidding. So I am assuming a spread type offense? Also, 5-3 defense. Is that a 5-3 monster with man coverage or cover 3?

What type of offense/defense will he look to run. Since Poynter is gone and the A-11 is banned, what do they have to work with?

I would say that most coaches try to schedule as many games they can win! But, no win is a given.

Not bashing or saying anything bad about Stepp, but you would think with all the yards that Lewis kid threw for, that they would have won a bunch more games.

He did have a pretty dang good QB at Clay.

He resigned because only 15-20 players were out for spring ball? I guess if that was the case, a lot of coaches would be resigning every year. 10-12 linemen is probably more than a lot of teams have. I hope this is not the case for him leaving, due to how spring ball was going.

Not teaching can mean different things. Some coaches consider working the detention room not teaching. Or being Dean of Students, not teaching. I am pretty sure he was not saying, pay me my teachers salary and i will show up after school and on Friday nights. Plenty of teachers work as teachers, but don't actually TEACH student daily.

If Coach Tracy is a finalist for the Franklin Co. job does anyone know why he is wanting to leave Woodford Co.? By no means do I mean this in a negative way, just curious if Woodford Co. will be down for a couple of years, Franklin Co. will be loaded this year or soon, better job, better pay, better facilities, etc... Just curious because I thought he did a good job at Woodford Co. and has a good thing going.

Thanks Pancake. I guess the post could be mis-read. I have just seen on here a lot of coaches interviewing for 2-3 jobs and I wonder what they say to their players and administration, when they find out. I understand that sometimes a coach might be getting the short end of the stick or in a bad situation and looking for an out.

Not trying to blast anybody. Just wondering how you deal with your players and administration when they find out you are interviewing for other jobs. Thats all. Don't know the guy, not saying anything about him personally. It was a generalized question for any coach in that position.

What do you say to your administration and players when they hear about you applying for 3 other jobs after only 1 year there? Just want interview practice?

Always good when older guys show and demonstrate leadership. Hopefully, the one poster was right when he said they are interviewing this week and they can have a coach in place soon!

I just don't see how you sell yourself to a program. Do you say "i want to come here and build a great program" "but only will stay until something better comes along" Who knows.

With Trimble, it looks like they are just going to hire a coach base on what position is open or hire a coach already teaching in district. This usually means (not always) they are just hiring a coach to fill a spot and not the best coach. My opinion.

This is still the craziest thing I have heard. No weight lifting because it is too loud. Hopefully, any coach that is interested in the job, is not on here reading this stuff because they might withdrawl from consideration.
