True blue (and gold) Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 This game is part of the Henry Co Dairy Queen Bowl on Saturday. Both teams were below .500 last year and have a common link. Trimble Co's new coach, Chris Collins, was the head coach at Atherton last year. Trimble's numbers have increased since last season (37 players, currently), but suffered a loss in that senior Joe West will likely not be able to play the remainder of the season, due to a head injury suffered two weeks ago. Can the 1A Raiders beat the 4A Rebels? I say yes. What about you?
oleblue&gold Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 (edited) I'll take Trimble County on this one... After seeing them scrimmage Knott County Central at Paris even tho they made a few mistakes. Trimble looks alot better then last year's team and im glad to see those number increase also this year Go Raiders!!!!!!!! Edited August 16, 2009 by Ram Rule 13
Tiger0334 Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 Who is starting at OB for the raiders this upcoming season? How did the Raiders look last night at Paris? Good to see the numbers are High, how many of those players are experienced?
CoachBuckett Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 I will go with Atherton. I look for the attacking defensive style of Coach Bubba Walker to cause many problems for the Raiders early.
True blue (and gold) Posted August 16, 2009 Author Posted August 16, 2009 What time does this game start? 8:00 pm
retired Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 I will go with Atherton. I look for the attacking defensive style of Coach Bubba Walker to cause many problems for the Raiders early. Im rolling with the Running Rebels as well....They did not have a good showing in their scrimmage....Bubba will have them ready....Chef Poochy and I will be taligating for this one....
Tall Trees Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 Trimble should win this one, they have almost everyone back from last year team. GO RAIDERS!
footballhd Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 What did the scrimmage vs Knott County look like? What was Trimble running? How did the O and D look? Any score from the scrimmage? What about score from Atherton scrimmage?
CoachBuckett Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 From the info I have on Trimble Co. they are running the wing-t or a version of out of the shotgun formation. They were pretty successful against Knott.
True blue (and gold) Posted August 18, 2009 Author Posted August 18, 2009 Trimble's scrimmage against Knott County was a 33-0 win.
footballhd Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 Not too shaby of a win. Is Trimble pretty good or Knott not good at all? Might be a close one!
CoachBuckett Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 Trimble has plenty of quality kids returning to this years team. Look for them to make noise this season.
