Mercer County has hired Bill Mason as its Head Coach.

Congrats to Coach Mason, his family and the Mercer County players. This process is now behind them and they can move on to football.

Good luck to Coach Mason and the Titan football team! Since his arrival at Mercer all of my family and friends from home speak very highly of Coach Mason.

 

Also, best of luck to Todd Davis. He is a very good friend and a good man as well.

 

Time to move FORWARD, and support the TEAM- both kids and coaches!

We all know for sure that Mason isn't going back out of the job, so congratulations to Mercer County. I know some of the players I spoke to before I came to Japan expressed to me that they hoped Mason would get the job. It was a long winding road, but the players are happy and Mercer can now move forward. Congrats and good luck to Mercer. Except on Sept 18.

Why didnt Mason have success at Nelson County? It seems like a school you should win 5-6 every year.

He had good success at Nelson County. His teams were playoff teams every year except the last one. He beat Manual in the playoffs one season, and gave Michael Bush and Male all they wanted another season. His departure at Nelson was pure politics with a 0-10 glove on.

 

Bill is a solid man, solid leader, solid coach. He deserves this second chance and his old Bardstown friends wish him well.
