What about Wolfe? Didn’t he go like 8-0 against X/T couple years ago in a 2 year stretch? Not exactly sure about that though....but if so has any other coach actually ever done that?

"My son" smh. I'll guarantee if your son was good enough Coach Thompson would have had him on the field. I'll say this for Coach Thompson he isn't scared to play a tough schedule!! How many teams played BG, BC, PRP, and Desales in non district games.

Well hopefully he won't be running up and down the sidelines making throat slashing gestures towards opposing sidelines when his team scores like he did during his sons 8u football game. Yes...he was doing that last fall during his sons tourney championship game when they took the lead. Several of us parents looked at each other in disbelief...one even said. "And this guy wants to be a high school head coach?". Hopefully DJ will mature and be a successful HC.

Taylor's Super fired Curtis Cotton after one season a few years ago. Not sure why anyone would want to coach for him.

They weren't a state runner up under Graham. They won state in 09 under Rains and have slowly went downhill ever since. I would say from 14-1 in '09 to 1-10 in '13 did it.

There is so much stupidity in this thread it's not even funny. Boyle Co was one of te worst teams in state before Chuck took that job. I remember my HS was beating them 49-0 at halftime (and they weren't very good) te year before he got there. They were pitiful. He took a job in a town where there was a perennial powerhouse right down the road. This was back in 93....Danville was a top 5 team in state those years. He goes there and wins 5 in a row (which had never been done at the time). That's not at HHS, Danville, Trinity, etc.....at BOYLE. I have prob more respect for HHS than anyone (good friends with some of their staff) but to use the 'lean years' mantra is a cop out! As someone who has been involved with coaching for over 15 years you would be hard presses to find a COACH who was around during CS's tenure that won't say he was the best. Whether he could rebuild what he did at BC is anyone's guess....but I will guarantee you they will be MUCH improved.

Heard MC lost their QB JT Long for the season last night. Tough blow...

It's a mess there from what a parent has told me....he told me he was talking with another parent and the parent said he was glad cause they wanted a better coach than Rains. I laughed and told em good luck and I could prob get Mueller, French,etc....numbers for em to call. Smh

If they don't hire DD their crazy!!! They are gonna struggle to hire a quality coach with no budget, no jobs for assistants (or even for Head possibly), and looking at a potential state takeover. It's awful for the community!!!
