  1. Beechwood is the favorite until someone takes the title away.
  2. LCA is only playing 2 players both ways...they have a few others that are in on a rotation on the other side of the ball...but when the smoke clears only 2 will "start" both ways.
  3. Health Ins companies and pharm companies arent the problems. Govt beaucracy and redtape along with frivolous lawsuits are the problems.
  4. Bingo!!!! He would destroy BHO in debates. Bill was a master debator (have fun with that one) and would eat Obama up when it came to thinking quickly without a monitor.
  5. Birdsfan...I assume you live in NKY? If so the BEST supplement company in the world is in your backyard. Beverly...I can tell you for a fact that MANY of the top professional bodybuilders in the world order from Beverly. Many of them are paid to hawk other products but use Beverly because they know that the quality is the BEST!! I actually have a video of Ronnie Coleman leading up to like his 6th Olympia title and the camera scans his kitchen and there is a jug of UMP sitting on his counter. He is paid by BSN. Rich Franklin called in and placed an order one day when I was there...this is the same Rich Franklin that was getting paid my Xyience and getting their product free. There is a reason Beverly has been around since the '60's and has never had to do major marketing or pay celebs to hawk their product. I have been in the health and fitness biz for a long time...and I can promise you all supplements arent equal!!!
  6. Mercer County has hired Bill Mason as its Head Coach.
  7. Dont be suprised if some of those guys used too... I can tell you for a fact that steroids have been rampant in sports for a LONG TIME!!!! Most people dont realize that anyone could get them up until the laws changed with roids in I think '91. As long as there has been competition people have been trying to get an edge. I had a college coach tell me that when he played college ball back in the early 70's...the players went into the training room weekly to get a "vitamin" shot. He said they had no clue what they were being given. But his trainer/strength coach was a former national power lifter. This was at a MAJOR college...and ALL players on the team got their "vitamins". One last point...many people think...well he doesnt look like he's on steroids. Half of the riders in the tour de france are on the sauce...do they look like roid heads?
  8. How was he not given what he was promised at LCA?
  9. I get so worn out by this... I grew up poor. I have been fortunate to rise out of poverty to be what many of you and the govt would consider "rich". I put myself through college and started my own business'. I work with many people of all different levels of wealth. I have people who work for me that make $9 an hour and people who make $200k+. There are traits to those top earners that are similar across the board. The are very HARD workers. They are the earliest to arrive and are the ones usually here the latest. Everyone of them worked their way up. We have very few people who work for us who started out at a large salary. There are many people similar to this across this country. I have a boy (20 yrs old) and he makes $9K a month. He has no college education. When he started working for us his base salary was $1500 a month. He busted his butt and worked 60-70 hour weeks. Now I'm not saying that the other people arent working hard...because they are working probably as hard as their capable. But!!!! I have never had an employee who works hard and does the right things that stays in an entry level position very long. Their hard work (and intelligence) help elevate them among their peers. For some reason...people in this country started thinking they are "entitled" to have what their neighbor has. Another point...I have a cousin who works in a factory. He makes about $65-70,000 a year. He has worked at this factory for 19 years. During this period he has been trained by his company in several trades... He is an electrician, welder, maintence (construction supervisor), and several others. He works a 40 hour week at the factory. He spends the rest of his evenings, weekends, holidays, and vacation time running his side business. His side business is a small construction company. He now makes double his salary at the factory with his side biz. He is pushing probaly $200-$250k a year. Is he rich? He works more hours than any human I know...hasnt had a vacation in years. Should he pay higher taxes?:idunno:
  10. The American Government? The American government doesnt provide one single thing. Without tax revenue there would be none of those things. So opposite of what your saying...the wealthy are paying for the infrastructure that many use for free.
  11. I can give everyone a little insight. Regardless of what you are hearing the decision on BCG was made awhile back. The last few weeks just cemented the decision. I posted that before they announced and said I would openly eat crow if I was wrong. I wasnt. I can also tell you with 100% truth that Mitch was contacted by a couple of coach's "people" after the GEORGIA loss. They let MB know they would be interested if he decided to make a move. MB has been in constant contact with them since.
  12. I was told tonight that they werent discussing the buyout as much as timing. BCG is already talking to a couple of schools about their "potential" openings. What boths sides would like to happen is that BCG resigns to take 1 of 2 jobs that will probably be coming open.
  13. This is 100% correct. He will not be back. MB has already started the search and has put together a short list. I can also tell you this...Mitch was contacted after the Georgia game by the "people" of a coach to let him know they were interested in the job if he moves BCG out. I was stunned!
  14. Grilled....I found out tonight that he has already been told that its not working out and we are going in a different direction. FWIW...this came from someone I know really well and works in the athletic office. He is GONE!!!
  15. I can tell you all 100% for SURE he is out!!! A shortlist has already been put together with 5 names. The top two have already expressed interest. As a matter of fact #1 on that lists "people" contacted MB after the Georgia debacle. Whether or not BCG has been told I dont know. But I can def tell you the decision has been made. Also, its MUCH more than about basketball and wins and losses. If this info turns out to be false, which it is not, then I will gladly eat crow and will never post supposed "insider" info again.
  16. That is actually a market correction. The auto industry has operated for years under a doomed system. You also do realize that every major company and employer in this country at one time or another was a small business. Companies dont just start day 1 as GE. And to anwer your question...most jobs being created today are in small business. The entreprenual spirit is to create business where there is a void and/or need....in all industries.
  17. Not being rude...but what you just stated is TOTALLY false. I want you to do me a favor and research how much of our current workforce is hired by small business. The numbers are going to suprise you. You are also basically only talking about manufacturing jobs...so it isnt fair to only use one sector of our workforce to support your argument.
  18. As I stated earlier...when my business' have more capital I reinvest the money back into the business. I expand, I replace old products with new ones, and hire new people. By buying new products my business is stimulating someone else's biz. When I hire new workers they obviously receive a pay check. I kinda over simplified this...but I am a little confused as to how you think trickle down doesnt work. Also, for those who think trickle down economics doesnt work...then why is BHO initiating $7T in new spending? His reasoning is that it will "trickle" down and create jobs. The problem is that he should do this through the private sector. Those same jobs can and would be created through business' that receive tax credits and tax breaks. He could accomplish the same thing without breaking the country.
