There were other factors at play. Specifically the financial woes of MC school system and uncertainties of positions. Not to mention his budget for football next year....$0. School system is in a tough position....hopefully things will turn around for the school and they can move forward. IMO...their first order of business should be to name their interim super permanant super. He is good guy who has communities best Internet at heart.

I've been told that Rains actually lives closer to Boyle High School than Mercers. Could be interesting....if it happens I wonder what MC will try to do to keep him.

Mercer's players were playing with a heavy heart last night. A JR cheerleader, the Sheriffs daughter, was killed just hours before the game in a car accident. The news started trickling in to the players within a hour of kick-off. It was obviously a rough night....

I'd like to know how many flags were thrown in that game. I've never hears of that many being tossed....on both teams!!

Johnson has been playing on two sprained ankles all season. This was first week of the season when he actually was able to practice all week.

Rains has always ran the ball out of the system. Usually 60+% of the time. But he obviously doesnt know what he is doing...maybe Mercer should find them somebody better!!! Lol

I think Etown would be crazy not to hire Thompson. Great football coach who grew up there and was also on staff when they had success.

Probably today. Rains will not have parent issues. The only time there is parent issues is if the coach lets there be. Rains has been around a long time and been successful everywhere he has been. I dont see any difference with Mercer. I also want to say...that the admin did an excellent job through this process. They had their guy and went through the process. When they were being bashed on here they were taking care of what they needed to do. This is a homerun hire for them.

Zach moves extremely well for a kid of his size. The scary thing to me is he really hasnt even matured physically yet. He is still young. I think a couple of years under Rock and he is going to be a specimen. I could easily see Zach in the 325 range in a couple of years. In the clips your watching he was playing at about 305. He is not a fat 305 either. Zach is also a very humble kid who will work hard. His ceiling is extremely high. FTR i have had the pleasure of watching Zach up close for a few years....

Cotton and the LCA guys are friendlies...One of the LCA coaches played in college with Weinrich.

Power mixture on Offensive (bone, wing T, etc) and a 5-2 on D. He will adjust to a 40 front depending on formations and team.

Ray will not run the system at Henry Co. He will also not run the 353 on D. He was never a fan of the 2 at LCA. Curtis Cotton ran LCA's offense and Hays Browning ran the D.

When did Wolfe "quit in the middle of the year"??

I was told his mother is/has moved from the area and he wanted to stay. He moved in with his father who lives in the county.
