  1. If you were the coach, and some of you may be I don't know, and could change one aspect or approach of your teams game what would it be. As a Raiderette fan I keep hearing we need more rebounding after the shot. Defensively and offensively. We probably could use a couple taller inside girls. BE NICE.
  2. Rose Hill is definitely young this year. They are showing some promise though. But, offense can only take you so far. If you can't match up defensively you are going to get walloped. It seems that the intensity and prowessness on defense isn't there like it was last year. Yes I know there big girls Emily and Laura are gone but the defensive structure seems to not be there like last year. It may have a little to do with the absence of one of their asst. coaches this year. I know he had a defensive minded approach and knows the game well. You gotta have a defensive game. Having said that , congratulations to the Lady Rams and good luck through the rest of the season.
  3. This will be the game of the month no doubt. This will be a prelude to the 16 region title game in my opinion. It will be a great game to see. I figure the Royals will pack a lethal punch though. Elliott is good .. real good ... but the intensity of the royals will be too much I believe.
  4. I have'nt heard alot but there may be academic issues for some of them. I have always believed teams should stress academics as well as sports.
  5. Congratulations Andrew. He comes from a very fine family. His mom sure can cook. She used to cook for the hospitality room during the Queen of the Bluegrass while his sister Deb played.
  6. Not that I can remember. Unless it would have come during Tim Baldwins tenure here.
  7. With the experience gained last year and the heart these boy's showed I'm going to say Lewis County.
  8. Definitely a rebuilding season for the comets. They will return Puckett and Owens but 2 players can't beat 11. Should be interesting when the comets come into town in Grayson.
  9. Gary will help Nate out quite a bit. Nate should do okay. I look to see the fairview program to definitely be a team to be reckoned with for seasons to come.
  10. You can bet the farm that ole' coach Ivan will have these guys ready. He has'nt failed to yet. A true coaching genius.
  11. Mckee is an untapped talent that is being overlooked quite often. He shut his reciever down in the LCA game. That's one of the few games he actually made an appearance in. He has got the hands to be a great receiver and is always a dangerous option at Qb from what I have heard. Why would you not use talent ? Would love to have this kid over in Raider Country. We would sure use him.
  12. East Carter ....... I would have to say the early 90's combo of ... Darren Fite and Curtis Mackley ... They made one heck of a backfield. Both were big and bruising runners.
  13. Is East Carter not sporting a wrestling team this year. I kinda been out of the loop on this the past couple of years.
  14. East should be able to get this win. I've heard that Morgan is going through some growing pains. Their starters are mostly sophmores and freshman. They should have gotten plenty of experience that will spill into next season. When a team is the underdog they can be deadly. May just be a tough contest for our Raiders.
  15. East Carter .... Would probably be ..... Tyler Back. Raceland ..... Bobby Mckee or Loren Huffman or Cody Kelly.
  16. I hope the Rams can dominate this game. This is coming from a diehard Raider fan. We root for whoever is playing the comets.:banana::banana: Go RAMS !!!!!!!!!!
  17. It will come down to Elliott or Rose Hill. It definitely will be an interesting year.
  18. Seems like one heck of a athlete. Are there any schools looking at him ?
  19. Man I hate this re-districting .... It's a killer. :madman:
  20. I personally believe that the young men from Lewis County deserve the upmost respect. They have pretty much been blown out every game but by golly they hung in there through it all. And they played with great heart. My hat is off to these fellas. If they gave out awards for heart these young men deserve it. You guys have a true football heart. My deepest respect goes out to them and the coaches. :thumb::thumb::thumb::thumb:
  21. Congrats. on your win Musketeers .. but... Mason definitely aint no Lewis County. Get prepared fellas.
  22. I look for it to be a doozy in Olive Hill come friday night. The Comets are going to be playing a teed off group of Rams from Raceland. Should be a barn burner.
  23. Congratulations Russell ... another great win.
  24. Congratulations Rams.:dancingpa I heard from a Rams parent that Nicholas kicked the ball away from the McKee boy all night. He is pretty explosive on returns and has some great feet. His reputation must be getting around. Russell is coming knocking Friday so rest up boy's. Ivans probably already planning the stragety.
