The fundamentals are lacking in all aspects of the game. I think there are even professionals that are lacking in this department.

Seems to me that it sure is starting to look like this will be the 16th's clincher. Either one of these two will make a great run in the State and the region proud I believe. What are your thoughts ?

Heard that McKee was back in the lineup. How did he do ? Good to see his injury wasn't season ending.

You know all this talk about one of the young ladies from Rose Hill transfering out is very disheartning. What ever happened to staying with a school and helping out when they arent doing so well ? Even coaches sometimes will head to greener pastures when they know it's going to be a lean couple of years coming up. I remember a few years back a very talented young lady that transferred out of one school because her dad made her. Why ? Because the coach chose to have closed practices. Her dad was a huge distraction to the whole team. He was always screaming at her and the other girls. They could'nt even hear the coach. It really amazed me. It always amazes me parents that think they know more than the coaches. It has to be their way or no way. I remember growing up and playing softball with the local neighbors. One of the guys got mad because he did'nt like the way the teams were divided up and told everyone that if it didn't go the way he wanted it, he was taking his ball ( the only one we had) and going home. This goes on a lot today in sports. Parents ,if they don't get their way or their child does,nt get enough playing time or get to be the star or disagree with the coach ,they take their child and go to another school. It is simply amazing. What is this teaching our kids ? My father always told me that if you give your word on something or if you commit yourself to something you keep your word and see your commitment through to the end. I wish the girls a great coming up season and hope the best for them. If their is girls that don't want to play or be there than they need to quit or move on. It would be a great dis-service to the team if they stayed.

I got a strong feeling that people will be surprised at the Rose Hill girls this year. People are selling them a little short I believe. Time will tell.

I was joking to Bobby about Coach putting him in a wheel chair and letting him pitch from the mound. :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol: This is a great young man and seems to be in good spirits. Hope his recovery is a quick one.

Heard Bobby Mckee went down with an ankle injury. Any updates ?

Got to meet and got to know Coach Fraley a few years back and was truly impressed with him. I wish him and the Greenup squad good luck this coming year.

So I am assuming there were no truth in the rumour that Charles Baker was coming to Royal town ? :lol::lol::lol: That could have made things interesting in the 16th region.

I have heard a lot of praise for the Day girl. They say she is going to be a great ball player by her senior year. Ms. Basketball ?????????? That would be pretty neat.

I'm thoroughly confused now. I really don't know Mr. Watkins but hope he does a great job for Rose Hill. The part that is confusing me is didn't other threads state that the girls were just young but talented ? The " Rose Hill girls team " thread post # 8 is an example. If so where did that talent go now ? Just an inquiry ????

Elliott ... It has truly been a great year for you fellas and I applaud you highly for your run back to the big dance......Sorry for the wall you guys are getting ready to slam into but you have really been exciting to watch. We'll regrettingly see you next season when you come into Raider country and whip us again. :lol::lol::lol: Enjoyed the season fellas.

I believe this will be a knock down , drag out , hide your kids eyes type of game. Rose Hill is on fire right now but Elliott is looking for that SSSwwweeettt revenge. I believe we will see it tonight. I'm going with a nail biter of a game with Elliott winning by 4. Then it's on to Friday night in a re-match with the Raiders from down home. Oh yeah ..... It's going to be sweet.

A bittersweet day in Raiderville today. The boys rejoicing th girls wondering what could have been. Congratulations to the Lady Comets. Represent us well ladies. These playoffs sure are exciting times.

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol: Some of these kids have to be mortified when their parents try to relive their youth through their kids.

I also witnessed a step dad of one of the premier players in the late 90's stand along the line and scream and yell at his step daughter, the ref's and the coaches. She would be looking at him and back at the coach. The coach was yelling one play and her dad yelling another. The poor girl was so shook up after each game. I bet she kept Tums in business. The best lines of all times has to come from a dear lady that has passed on. I thought the world of this woman. I truly miss her dearly. Helen was her name. I don't know if I'm permitted to post a last name. I would never post anything negative of this ole' gal. Anyone from East that posts on here remembers her well. You had to feel sorry at times for the refs. She sure could let them have it. The irony of these two is that Helen once told this father he needed to settle down. :lol::lol::lol: Boy I sure miss that lady.

I was told about a coach doing this once. I believe he got t'd up for it but it would have been very funny.

East Carter used to have almost baby blue uniforms back in the late 70's early 80's I believe. Thank the good Lord someone decided to go with the navy blue.

I for one ... and I'm a Raider fan .. Am glad to see teams such as Elliott County and Rose Hill having good teams. For the longest time these two teams were knocked aroundlike rag dolls and treated with very little respect. The old saying used to be " Sign Elliott or Rose Hill on senior night for a guarnteed win ". You can't say that now. These two set at the top of the 16th region. The 64th District used to always come down to East and West every year. You could put it in concrete. Not now. I say congratulations fellas ... Enjoy the success while your there. Whatta ride.

I will probably get blasted for this but I'm going to say Fairview. The name McPeek usually draws a lot of attention and even though Fairview is a small school we will definitely be seeing an increase in the football roster. I know Garry will see that the football team will have what they need .. in the way of equipment and training to make sure this team will be competive for years to come.

They will definitely meet again that is a gimme. East Carter and Raceland will make some noise but I foresee Elliott definitely owning the 16th crown. And unless there is a total misalignment of the planets Mason will own the 10th.

East Carter has somewhat the same thing. Frito's with hotdog sauce cheese and jalepeno's if you want them. Or is it banana peppers ? I can't remember 100%.
