footballhd Posted February 10, 2008 Posted February 10, 2008 What school has made the best coaching hire this season?
footballhd Posted February 10, 2008 Author Posted February 10, 2008 Larkey was a good hire, but would have Hilton been better? He does have state title.
Tall Trees Posted February 10, 2008 Posted February 10, 2008 Larkey was a good hire, but would have Hilton been better? He does have state title. Both are very good coaches. The thread title is best coaching hire this off season and the answer to that is Tom Larkey.
footballhd Posted February 10, 2008 Author Posted February 10, 2008 I can agree with you with you on Larkey, but Harmon at Tates Creek was pretty good hire considering he is the Head Coach of the Horsemen and turned a dormant Lafayette program around.
okie1 Posted February 10, 2008 Posted February 10, 2008 French at Boyle Co. What he did with the turnaround at Lincoln in 4 years, that was remarkable. I think he will keep the magic going at Boyle.

Harmon is a good coach, but I would not put him in the same level as Tom Larkey, yet. Larkey is one of the states all time winningest coaches.
footballhd Posted February 10, 2008 Author Posted February 10, 2008 The only thing I can say about Harmon and Larkey is what is how many state titles do each have? I think both have 0.
rockcastleraiders Posted February 10, 2008 Posted February 10, 2008 The only thing I can say about Harmon and Larkey is what is how many state titles do each have? I think both have 0. Come on? Is this a real argument?
footballhd Posted February 10, 2008 Author Posted February 10, 2008 Harmon has only been a head coach for 5 or so years. If you look at their first 5 or 6 years, I bet they are close. So yes, this is a real argument
wideopen Posted February 10, 2008 Posted February 10, 2008 Larkey was a good hire, but would have Hilton been better? He does have state title. Could any of Hilton's teams have pulled off a win over Boyle Co?
