The game was actually played at East. I should have worded what I wrote better. I was quoting CURTIS LOWE where he stated that Raceland played a good game. I meant to say I wish East had played that good too. I worded that pretty horrible. Sorry ..

Is East really going to be that good this year ? I thought we lost alot this past year. I haven't been keeping up with this as close as I had been. If we are that good .... COOL.:banana::banana::banana::banana:

Who is responsible for the conduct of ballplayers while they are visiting in other cities ? Parents ? Coaches ? The school ? I have witnessed a couple of sad displays in the past month. It really saddens me to see this because it does look bad on the school. I was behind 3 athletes in a resturant just the other day and witnessed them making fun of the weight of the young woman working behind the counter filling their order. I have always been told that having sports in our schools is a privilege not a necessity. Our young women and men need to remember that. Just wandering what everyone thinks about this.

I usually would never vote against Russell in this area due to the superb coaching of Mcglone but I will have to say I believe the Devil's are going to get spanked in this one. Mason is not going to give up this win on their home turf. Russell could very well get a small taste of what they dish out to the surrounding teams. I hope everyone stays healthy. It will definitely be THE GAME Friday night.

A very good perspective. This game is for a playoff spot. The way we have been playing anything is possible. If we guard their recievers like we did Russells ( especially # 21 for russell ) it will be a long , a very long night. For some reason we just never put anyone on # 21 from russell.:irked: He was open all night long. The only reason we weren't blown out by Russell like alot have been is that Jones was still tender on his ankle and he was having trouble planting on his throws. If he had been 100 % we would have been blown away.

Wish we could have played that over here in Raiderville.:madman:

Just out of curiosity.... do any of you remember , since we are going down memory lane, how many years it was before West ever posted it's first win over East. It came in 1986. I remember the fans marching around the field chanting " we beat East, we beat East ." I believe it was up in the teens (16 years ) maybe , before they got their first win.:sssh::sssh:

I talked to a friend of the family and they said Kayla is going to concentrate on her studies.

I really don't see the stands being that empty. Though last year there were empty seats at Raider stadium around me and another guy. I can't remember if the game was during fall break or not. I remember it was colder than a well- diggers rear end though.

# 12 for Raceland had 3 T.D's. One was called back for holding though. He had also had one extra pt.catch . Seems he had pretty decent speed too. One thing that did catch attention is the Qb. looked very nervous when he heard footsteps. Maybe this will go away with more games. Alot of the younger boy's don't like to get hit. I would'nt either. :lol::lol: # 22 also had a good game. Had a few behind the scrimmage line tackles. Also had some nice runs after the catch. Seeing a few future stars coming up.

East and West has always been one for the ages. There is so much pride on the line and of course the "BARRELL". I have fond memories of the days when I was in school. We looked and longed for this game. You could cut the tension with a knife. You will never see as many of our fine police force at any game like you will at this one. They definitely will earn their pay this night. The officials will too. Both teams could be 0-9 and they would bring the heat as if they were both unbeaten. It's going to be a doosie in Carter County come Friday night. At approximately 7:30 all pandimonium will break loose in Olive Hill..... It will look like you have taken two tomcats tails, tied them together and thrown them over a clothesline...... Whew doggies it's going to be a brawl. East Carter .... 17 West Carter ... 10

I have to second this. It is a shame alot of us teams have to play Russell :lol::lol: but to take a team that is having a really down year and have them play a team the caliber of Russell .... It just isn't right. You have to give credit to the players from Lewis that are sticking through it though. They have guts and a true football spirit. You have to appreciate that. LEWIS COUNTY.... you have my upmost respect guys.

This # 2 is Bobby McKee I believe. He is the young man that showed a great game in the jv game earlier in the week against Rowan Co. This fellow has great hands and a decent eye for the ball. I was wondering when we would see him in a larger role for Raceland. Plus ... he is only a sophmore.

First let me say congratulations to the Royals. Being a ECHS fan it always excites me when the Comets lose. Speaking of the Russell/Mason game it will definitely be a battle. From what I saw tonight on Raider field Russell may be in trouble. If these two teams squared off tomorrow my money would definitely be on Mason. Russell better not play Mason liked they played us. But Russell has Ivan and he definitely is a football coaching mastermind so it would be hard to count out Russell against any team. It will be a game to see though. Get your tickets early.
