I can only hope that this is not a Pick 10 or EKY regional game because I truly have no clue how this one will play out.... should be an excellent matchup that gives us some insight how the playoffs may end up looking on this side of the state in 1A.

At Paintsville.

Raceland should win this one by 3 TD's.

Rams by 12.

Raceland will cruise if they don't enter the game over confident. On the other hand, Paintsville really, really needs another win or two before the playoffs, so the Rams better not think that they can win by just showing up.

Imo this one being at Paintsville will make it a close game. Should be a good one. I hope that both teams stay inury free.

Raceland and Paintsville have had quite a rivalry in years past and just haven't played one another in while. At one time it seemed that everytime that Raceland went up there it was "Big Blue Nght", "Homecoming", Paintsville briniging back one their many great teams/players reunion with Walter Brugh or "Big Blue Something" night.

Paintsville is no longer syphoning off any of Johnson County's talent. Boys who live in the JC district who might have gone to Paintsville in the past as freshmen to play football are staying home. The transfer pipeline has also dried up for the Tigers. Paintsville never had large numbers of county boys on the team, but for a 1A team, two or three talented athletes can make a big difference.

 

Paintsville may make a game of it early, but I don't think that they have the horses to keep pace with Raceland for four quarters.

:thumb:You are correct Oldrambler in all your statements. This will be a tough game for the Rams as Paintsville always is ready to do battle.

Rams need to stay focused and concentrate on playing disciplined football.

Should be a great game. IMO Raceland will be pumped up for this one, wanting to show people what they can do, but you got to watch out for some home cookin if you know what i mean. Raceland has everyone back, a full strength Rams should come out with a W 99% of the time unless they think they are gonna win easy and then any game can go either way.
