Very good and needed Win for the Lady Rams tonight. Hopefully someone can post some stats.

Way to go Lady Rams and coach Trimble:ylsuper:, lets get some momentum going towards the District!! Raceland is now 16-11 on the season.

Raceland is scheduled to play at GRC on Thursday night and finish out the regular season at home vs. Fleming Co. on the 18th.

Good win for the Lady Rams. Rose Hill has a good team they are just young and this team is going to be fun to watch in a couiple of years if they all stay together a play ball. Raceland has to keep improving on offense the defense is not that bad but the offense has to get better this is a game that they should have won and they did. They have to learn to put teams away when they have the chance. They let one get away the other night that they should have won.

I know this may sound pretty stupid but I will say it anyway. I thought this was a good game for Rose Hill even though they got beat by 27 points. The girls played really hard for 3 quarters and was only down by 10-13 points most of the game. Raceland has a good team and a lot bigger than Rose Hill and they wore the young girls out in the fourth quarter. Rose Hill pressed most of the game and it seemed to keep them in it until the fourth quarter and then they ran out of gas.

I agree, I attended this game and I thought RH's kids showed a lot of heart. I was surprised that RH kept it so close against a much bigger and stronger Raceland team, especially with Vanderhoof back. I thought RH's Gamble was a big positive for RH hitting about 12 points and running the show. Pretty impressive for a 7th grader. She's going to be a major player in the 16th in the years to come.

On the flipside, good win for Raceland. Great to see Vanderhoof back. I hope that she stays healthy the rest of the season. She epitomizes all that is good about high school sports - great work ethic, great attitude, great sportsmanship, just a great all-around kid.

I'm glad to see Vanderhoof back, this team is totally different with her on the floor, and would have several more wins if she stayed healthy. Sounds like a good game for both teams.

:thumb: Obviuosly it is good to have a player like R. Vanderhoof back.

Lets just hope and pray that she can stay healthy the rest of the way and into the tournaments. Great kid from a great family, Rachel deserves all of the praise that she gets :ylsuper:.

Like a poster above said, RH is just a young team. The Lady Royals will continue to get better and really be a force in a couple of years if they all stay together. :thumb:

Congrats to the Lady Rams on the win. It is good to see them back in the win column.

Yes Vanderhoof is a great player and Raceland needs her to stay healthy to win in the districts. Raceland has not been a healthy team all year maybe with her back they can pull things together real quick.

Rose Hill is definitely young this year. They are showing some promise though. But, offense can only take you so far. If you can't match up defensively you are going to get walloped. It seems that the intensity and prowessness on defense isn't there like it was last year. Yes I know there big girls Emily and Laura are gone but the defensive structure seems to not be there like last year. It may have a little to do with the absence of one of their asst. coaches this year. I know he had a defensive minded approach and knows the game well. You gotta have a defensive game. Having said that , congratulations to the Lady Rams and good luck through the rest of the season.

I've always been on the side of defense wins ball games. Good defense leads to steals, turnovers, poor shot selections, and a decrease in FG%. RH seems to be able to put points on the board, but can't seem to keep the other team from putting up a whole lot more.

I do not believe it has anything to do with last years assistant coach gone. When you go from 4 seniors that were great to 7th and 8th graders then the teams defense will probally be a little different. I would also have to add, have you noticed any size differance. Lets remember that Rose Hills only senior did not play that much last year due to injury and for some of these girls its their first time getting to play varsity. I do not care who the coach is this year, these girls were going to struggle and we all knew that, even though a couple of us our very proud of these girls for stepping up and doing there best.
