I do not believe it has anything to do with last years assistant coach gone. When you go from 4 seniors that were great to 7th and 8th graders then the teams defense will probally be a little different. I would also have to add,have you noticed any size differance. Lets remember that Rose Hills only senior did not play that much last year due to injury and for some of these girls its their first time getting to play varsity. I do not care who the coach is this year, these girls were going to struggle and we all knew that, even though a couple of us our very proud of these girls for stepping up and doing there best.

Rose Hill has talent to win, the little blonde muscle bound girl and the Sophome (Frily?) are the best on the team and could start for any team in the region. Wow. I agree. These seasoned 7th and 8th graders need to step it up. Muscle bound girl, 8th grade. C'mon girls, suck it up.

 

Bottom line is this, when these girls are seniors, many of their current opponents will have already graduated college and some will be married and have started their families.

Several, in mop up roles. You have to remember who was on the floor for the Regional champion Royals last season. So although they may have gotten in occasionally, I'd hardly consider that quality varsity minutes.

I get your point, just reminded me of another school in another region (9) that went from contender the last 3-4 years to major struggling this year.

The coach is always saying that they are just young, after a while you get tired of hearing it especially after 20 games has been played and the season is coming to an end. Coaches get paid to teach the game and find ways to be competetive and win occasionally.

Can't argue your point. However, a floor full of girls who are 4-5yrs. younger is a tough task regardless if Pat Summitt is at the helm.

There is no question that coaching can make a big difference (possibly the biggest difference) depending on the situation, but to win consistently you must have talent and experience. The Rose Hill girls ALL play hard and will be very competitive players in the future, but you can't expect them win consistently at their age or experience level - regardless of the coaching. I believe that the RH coaching staff is looking at this as a developmental year and seeing success as improvement from October ot February. To expect more from this young team (and coaching staff) is naive thinking.

From other posts that I have read concerning the coaching staff and rhfan there is going to be a mass exodus, lets hope not but thats what other threads have indicated. You can beat that drum all you want about age and inexperience and to some degree you are right but the Frily (spelling?) girl was in cat pause this year representing your 16th region girls from Rose Hill.

Instead of developing it looks like they have went backwards. According to Reiherds scoreboard on Rose Hill that their point production was in the

40's-50's the first half of the year, the last 3-4 games (other than this one) has been in the 20's. This time of the year they should be improving, so I do think that coaching or lack of it has a lot to do with it. I wish Rose Hill the best as they get older, maybe they can come to the 9th region and play us.

If the parent would sit in the stands and let this team improve as a group and stop tearing them apart this would have been a great team in a year or two. Whoooaa, come down rhfan before your blood pressure goes through the roof. You claim I dont want to hear it, for your information...I dont care. You should just be happy that this parent is in the stands and not on the bench. A parent that sits on the bench can do more damage than one in the stands.

I am not trying to guess what your problems are, my son's team has enough problems of their own in baseball. I just see some similarities, nothing more nothing less. Sorry rhfan if I offended you.
