SvFan4life
Figured this would happen. I never really thought he fit well with them.

Eta Rho
Some what surprising IMO. The Pistons can't expect to win with that same group every year though. They need to add another impact player. Who do the Pistons turn to now though?

Who do the Pistons turn to now though? How is it surprising? It was a questionable move when he was hired and they've never really taken off with him at the helm. They've really just coasted. HOMELESS CAMEL
No surprise here, this team needs an overhaul. As a Bulls fans, I don't mind if they take several years to put things back together.

Eta Rho
Avery Johnson would be a great fit IMO... Didn't think of that, but I think his style would really succeed with the Pistons. Probably would be the best fit for both parties at this time. Then again, Pat Riley did retire...anyway he comes out of retirement to coach the Pistons for one or two years to try and get a ring? UKMustangFan
I completely agree with his firing. There isn't another team in the league that has as much talent as the Pistons IMO, and they always underachieved under him, just like his Minnesota teams. saint4
The goals they needed entering the off season after their Eastern Conference Finals knockout: 1. Get rid of Flip Saunders. 2. Get rid/trade Rasheed Wallace. One down, One to go.

UKMustangFan
That's a major myth IMO. The only teams that could be argued are the Celtics, Lakers, and Spurs IMO. The Celtics have 4 solid players than a bunch of no names, the Lakers have basically 3 guys, and the Spurs have 3 as well. The Pistons have their entire starting 5, then 2 very good young guys off the bench. There is no way they shouldn't have hoisted the trophy this year. Walton, Sasha Vu... something, Turiaf, Ariza, and Farmar all coming off the bench. Fisher can score when called upon to and Radmonivic is a good shooter. They, IMO, are the most talented team in the NBA by far. They have Chris Mihm and Andrew Bynum not even playing because of injury also.
