June 3, 200818 yr The Lakers go 10 or 11 deep. Walton, Sasha Vu... something, Turiaf, Ariza, and Farmar all coming off the bench. Fisher can score when called upon to and Radmonivic is a good shooter. They, IMO, are the most talented team in the NBA by far. They have Chris Mihm and Andrew Bynum not even playing because of injury also. That's the thing though, if you insert Mihm and Bynum then go ahead and take away some of the stats from others because there is only so much basketball to go around.. Also, Walton and Ariza are streaky. Yeah the Lakers have a good bench developing but....

Foriegn dude, and Radmonivic are solid I'll give you those two.
June 3, 200818 yr I am a lil suprised that they fired him, I mean they did essentially make the final four of their sport again, for the sixth straight year. I feel that the Detroit Piston fans and organization is a lil spoiled IMO. And I am a fan of the Pistons. They do need to do something and find a strong and young post player. Wallace and McDyess are just getting to old.
June 3, 200818 yr They need to get rid of Rasheed. Trade him for a young, up and coming big, like Bynum from LA. Think about it, Sheed can turn into Kobe's Dennis Rodman, just with an offensive game. Bynum could flourish in Detroit and turn into an all star.

Bynum could flourish in Detroit and turn into an all star. Will never happen. The Lakers have inserted young talent around Kobe for a reason. And it has shown this year. They have finally developed and put the Lakers in the finals. Last time the Lakers made a move like that (bringing in older vets), they were beat by the Pistons in 5 in the finals.
June 3, 200818 yr I wouldn't dare try and bring Rasheed into that organization if I was the Lakers. I am a fan of Rasheed but there is no way that he is going to gel in that program. To me the Lakers could get something with much better upside than Rasheed. But if the point you are making is that Bynum would fit good in Detroit, I would say yes...perfectly.
June 3, 200818 yr He was an underachiever imo. Detroit should have more than 1 championship in the last 5 years with the talent they have as far as I'm concerned.

Last time the Lakers made a move like that (bringing in older vets), they were beat by the Pistons in 5 in the finals. The reason the Lakers are in the finals has nothing to do with their "young" talent. Bringing back Derek Fisher, trading for one of the best bigs in the game in Gasol, and keeping Odom happy. Bynum won't fit in with that team and will be more of a problem than anything else. But back to the Pistons, getting rid of Rasheed needs to be their top priority. You have a solid foundation with Billlups, Hamilton, and Prince, and an improving PF in Maxiell who fits the persona of toughness that the Pistons want.

Yes, that was my point. I just used Bynum as an example of the type of player that Detroit needs to go after! :thumb:
June 3, 200818 yr Michael Curry will be the next Pistons coach... Yeah, someone mentioned that a little earlier...
June 3, 200818 yr Yeah, someone mentioned that a little earlier... I don't actually read most of what everyone else posts...
