I really expect this game to be close. These are two of the better teams in the state. Both are undefeated. Both are battle tested. Both are deserving. I’ll take Boyle County by 10+.

Colonels defense continues to rise to the occasion each week, despite all you brilliantly minded BGPers. They shut down  this championship was already played nonsense, and raise #9.

Really looking forward to this game versus the other title games.

Is Boyle really that much more athletic than Tilghman at receiver?  Is Dawson really a better passer than Jack Jones? 

I don’t think Cov Cath needs to play perfect, but they absolutely need to execute better in the red zone than they did last week to win. Boyle probably doesn’t have a safety as good as Martels Carter in coverage, so hopefully Rodriguez can come down with some of these targets that he didn’t last week.

I think Boyle is like Tilghman at full potential.

Two best teams in 4A? Depends who you ask I suppose, but it has the possibility of being a great game.
 

Colonels cannot come out empty handed with their red zone opportunities. Catholic’s defense did a great job last week against a PT offense that has been firing on all cylinders the entire season, they need to carry that success into this week for any opportunity to win.

The Rebels are the best team in the state, when you watch them you realize it immediately. You can go on and on about the talent everywhere but HC Justin Haddix is undoubtedly the best in the state at getting his best players the football in space and with that formula it’s hard to lose games. Barring some costly turnovers and unfortunate errors Boyle County will go onto winning their 4th straight championship.

It’s been 42 years for those guys they get creative in trying to find ways to have moral victories. 

In my opinion Boyle will be the most athletic, fast team on the Field. 
Quissenberry - Flashy, fast, sure handed, great defender as well.  Best Athlete I’ve seen play and is only a junior. 

Bodner - Just a great hard nosed football player.  Runs super hard with a forward lean. Really good defensive player as well. Senior

D. Brown- very similar to Quissenberry with speed and athleticism offensively and defensively. Junior

G. Brown - don’t let him get in the open field unless you are sub 10.8 in the 100m. Junior
 

S. Dawson - very Athletic kid. Can throw it 60 yards downfield or tuck it and run.  Senior 

B. Driver -  Most improved from last year. Love his motor!  MLB/TE. Junior
 

CC gonna be Bigger, and gonna be disciplined.   Disciplined, fundamental football can be the great equalizer for speed and athleticism.  I look for this to be a great game between 2 tradition rich programs. Makes a huge difference when both teams have truly “been there, done that”. 
No score prediction for me, but I think the Rebels just have too many different weapons offensively. They will score enough to win with a solid defensive game in their back pocket. 
 

 

At one point against Franklin County, Coach Haddix had Bodner, D Brown and Quisenberry all in the backfield together. Talking about options. What I noticed is they all block for each other.

They are a very selfless team, no doubt about that. Boyle is capable of beating you so many ways on offense. Quisenbery, D Brown, and G Brown can get outside of the tackles and just run right by you. Bodner (and the others) can run in between the tackles. Dawson can is a threat to run or throw on every play too.
