Martels Carter is a more highly rated recruit than Quisenberry.

And here is something that will surprise you even more - neither of them are the #1 recruit in KY 2025. The #1 recruit is Austin Alexander, Cooper

I read that thread wrong. I read that as Martels Carter was at Cov Cath..didn't put the correct name with the team!

Corbin going to hang a State Runner-Up banner if Boyle beats CovCath by a wider margin than they beat the Red Hounds?  Such a fascination with "the 4A championship was played last week".

What does it say about the quality in Western Kentucky and Eastern Kentucky since Cov Cath beat those teams on the way to the title game?

Conversely, I would contend that this game is pointing out the level that Boyle County (and Corbin) have been playing at in comparison to the entire rest of the state.

Carter is an outstanding player no doubt and could be a better college player/recruit, but in High School he isn't a better player than Quisenberry.

Carter's numbers:

Rushing: 17 rushes for 214 yards and 3 TDs

Receiving: 43 receptions 1,066 yards and 10 TD.

5 punt return TDs and 1 Kickoff Return TD

#6 on team with 44 Tackles and 3 INTs.

Great Numbers

Quisenberry numbers:

Passing:  2 for 4 for 80 yards and 1 TD

Rushing:  70 carries for 717 yards and 17 TDs

Receiving: 40 catches for 818 yards and 12 TDs

2 Punt Return TDs and 2 Kickoff Return TDs

#6 on the team in tackles with 50

2 INTs.

Phenomenal Numbers.

Carter's numbers you posted are better than Quisenberry's. The only place Quisenberry has the edge is rushing totals, but Quisenberry has 4 times more carries. Multiply Carter's totals by 4 and he has more rushing yards. Carter averages almost 13 yards per carry and Quisenberry averages 10.

Your looking at yardage; I'm looking at TDs.  I'll give you Carter and I'll take Quisenberry and we'll both be happy as they are both great players.

And the other safety is Demauriah Brown who has an West Virginia offer and leads the team in INTs.

If I am a coach; I would be veryyyyy happy to have either of them on my team!

This will be the sixth time in seven years that CovCath has won the championship or lost in the playoffs to the team that eventually won the championship.

Same for Boyle.

2017 Win over Corbin, 2019 Loss to Johnson Central, 2020 Win over Franklin County, 2021 Win over Johnson Central, 2022 Win over Corbin, and 2023.

2018 Lost to Corbin in the Semi-Finals that lost to Louisville Central.

Let's see who makes the big plays come Friday. Pretty sure he will be wearing #5.

And over that span of 7 years a 31-2 playoff record (93.93% winning percentage).  7 Straight Semi-final appearances and 5 straight State Championship games.

I would think Boyle would win, after seeing them in person, they are so balanced in all three phases.
