  1. Correct, Nason will be focusing on track.
  2. I think he left the team when they decided to run a wishbone instead of passing it. That explains why others numbers are higher.
  3. BTW, he is a track star sprinter as well.
  4. The transfer is already at Boyle and listed on Hudl as BC player.
  5. That's what I thought until I saw the stats. He had one for 3 yards! Hopefully, he will have better luck at the college level.
  6. Extremely overpriced. Ruth Chris is much better IMHO with better cuts, service and pricing.
  7. I've been watching the hour by hour forecast on the weather channel. I knew there was a high percentage on Friday but didn't realize most of it starts early morning and chances go way down to 24% late afternoon. That percentage may drop as well before my game, and even with preferred seating, probably packing my golf rain suit.
  8. lineman I ever saw and started as a freshman center at MTSU. Only lineman I saw that could single-handedly take over a game. I'm sure big brother was helpful in his development and will be a handful for CC.
  9. Great analysis. As far as #73, he is the 5th ranked sophomore lineman in the state (though probably should be higher). His brother, Wilson, was best high school linemen.
  10. Let's see who makes the big plays come Friday. Pretty sure he will be wearing #5.
  11. I believe CC will give the Rebs all they want and then some. Their QB is really good and safety is outstanding, but he can't cover everyone as BC has really good multiple deep threats. And if he gets one on one with Quisenberry, I will take Q all day long.
  12. Boyle has some size with three players and they are all very good. A couple are smaller but skilled and quick. Seems like Boyle has been outsized every game, especially against FD, Catholic, LCA and Corbin. Regardless of what some say, size doesn't always matter!
  13. Thanks. You guys do a really good job, much better than most, especially NFHS.
  14. Different player on the kickoff return but the last two were same player. My guess is it was never called at Corbin, so kids probably didn't know better, though coaches certainly should. That is the only time I saw anyone hurdle all year.
  15. Agree, Elam would have been lucky not to lose yards as they had that spot covered with two good tacklers. Maybe he was going to throw it back or something but he surely was not going to get it on his own. Questionable call in that situation.
  16. Colt had a strain about a month ago, and sat out a couple of games but has played the last two and I expect him to go both ways tonight. His brother, Wilson, was the best lineman I have ever seen in high school. He dominated John Young (who was #1 recruit at 6'7" 315 lbs and went to UK) and Boyle beat LCA 72-0. Colt is already ranked as 5th best lineman in the state and only a sophomore.
  17. I am going to speculate that the two linemen the twins are going against at BC are going to be the best they have faced. Colt Kelly can hold his own with anyone and has the size, speed and technique to do so. Another big factor is BC will not be intimidated by them like many would be, so should be a good matchup.
  18. I would think this win would give Boyle County a good bump. Here is the latest RPI, including adding the appeal win for Corbin, making them 10-0. It does not show Boyle's win tonight yet. 1 Covington Catholic 4A 5 9 - 0 9 1.10509 .61471 .54238 .76464 2 Franklin County 4A 4 9 - 0 9 1.10509 .55004 .56709 .74942 3 Paducah Tilghman 4A 1 9 - 0 9 1.08840 .57820 .54517 .74686 4 Boyle County 4A 7 9 - 0 9 1.00221 .61607 .57265 .73819 5 Corbin 4A 8 10 - 0 10 1.07956 .50762 .60131 .73591
  19. I agree, I really thought this was more of a toss-up. I do think BC is better this year than last and FD is not as good, so that may be all the difference there. I had read that 18 players from last years FD team are playing at the next level, but I am sure they reload every year just like Boyle. Should be a good one.
  20. Wasik runs around like Fran Tarkenton used to and usually finds his guy as he is accurate. Rebs secondary will be tested once again and Catholic will likely throw away from Quisenberry and Brown as they are really good covering guys and look for interceptions. I believe he has to be turnover-free to have a chance and be able to get away from Driver and Feltner chasing him.
