I guess the Rebels are not beatable let’s just go ahead and award them the trophy and not worry about a little thing like the game.

Corbin going to hang a State Runner-Up banner if Boyle beats CovCath by a wider margin than they beat the Red Hounds?  Such a fascination with "the 4A championship was played last week".

What does it say about the quality in Western Kentucky and Eastern Kentucky since Cov Cath beat those teams on the way to the title game?

Conversely, I would contend that this game is pointing out the level that Boyle County (and Corbin) have been playing at in comparison to the entire rest of the state.

In my opinion Boyle will be the most athletic, fast team on the Field.
Quissenberry - Flashy, fast, sure handed, great defender as well.  Best Athlete I’ve seen play and is only a junior.

Bodner - Just a great hard nosed football player.  Runs super hard with a forward lean. Really good defensive player as well. Senior

D. Brown- very similar to Quissenberry with speed and athleticism offensively and defensively. Junior

G. Brown - don’t let him get in the open field unless you are sub 10.8 in the 100m. Junior

S. Dawson - very Athletic kid. Can throw it 60 yards downfield or tuck it and run.  Senior

B. Driver -  Most improved from last year. Love his motor!  MLB/TE. Junior

CC gonna be Bigger, and gonna be disciplined.   Disciplined, fundamental football can be the great equalizer for speed and athleticism.  I look for this to be a great game between 2 tradition rich programs. Makes a huge difference when both teams have truly “been there, done that”.
No score prediction for me, but I think the Rebels just have too many different weapons offensively. They will score enough to win with a solid defensive game in their back pocket.

How big is Boyle on the LOS? Cov Cath is probably bigger than we've been the last few years, but not massive. 3 guys listed at 250 lbs. and then Ben Reeves is a stud high school player and he's probably 6'2, 230.

Boyle County puts their best players in more positions to make plays and have more opportunities than any team I've seen.

Coach Eviston at CovCath is a very fine and accomplished coach and will have his team ready to play and I expect them to play with skill and intensity as they are a very fine team.  But I just don't think it will be enough.

Boyle on a special run again.

Not very big on either side of the ball.  Someone here can better give details.

Don’t know too many Rebel fans on here thinking that way. We remember 2019 vs Johnson Central.

Will there be any Boyle administrators questioning if people from Covington can count to 100?

Only whether they can do it in Latin.

Quit this stuff silly goose. If you’re not a rooter of any of these teams quit with this passive-aggressive stuff.

Is Boyle really that much more athletic than Tilghman at receiver?  Is Dawson really a better passer than Jack Jones?

I don’t think Cov Cath needs to play perfect, but they absolutely need to execute better in the red zone than they did last week to win. Boyle probably doesn’t have a safety as good as Martels Carter in coverage, so hopefully Rodriguez can come down with some of these targets that he didn’t last week.

You are exactly right. They do not have a better safety and the QB is pretty close.  The issue is that Boyle is 10x more discipline.  There isn't a issue of athletes.  PT is probably the most athletic all around.  Boyle is just discipline, sound, hit you in the mouth and force you to mess up football.

I can post whatever I want if it’s not against the rules if you don’t like it just don’t read it.

Boyle plays a team game, you don’t see flashy numbers by any one player.   Sure you have some studs but it is all in for one goal.  The last two teams Boyle has played were undefeated.  One in the RPI was rated higher than Boyle.   Boyle went to their place and beat them.   I thought the start of the second half Boyle looked sluggish against Franklin County but then put it all together.  As a Boyle fan the one place in glad we didn’t go was Covington Catholic.  So playing them on a neutral field will be fun to see.  Both teams are good and have been challenged, I hope we see one more win coming to TITLE TOWN!!!

GO REBELS!!!

I’m sorry man my previous post was probably a little harsh it just seems like that most of the posts on here act like BC can’t lose and they probably won’t but I do believe CC is a quality team very capable of winning.

Boyle looks to be the best team in the state with an extremely underrated defense. Colonels will have their hands full in this one.

No worries my man. It’s hard to understand tone of voice via typing. Have a good night.
