Maryland will allow the dealers at their casinos to hit on Soft 17s

This puts the Black Jack, a game where the odds are best for educated gamblers, suddenly one of the worst.

I don't have a problem with allowing casinos more leeway in setting their own standards so long as the repercussions of such changes are vividly posted everywhere in plain language.

Trying to find a link.

Switched to Let It Ride a few years ago. Tired of people getting pissy because I strayed from "the book" rules on Blackjack. If I want to split or double down to be greedy, that's my business and I don't want to hear your whining.

I don't get that worked up about it, because I'm not playing large amounts each hand, but when people stray too far that it affects my $$ I get annoyed. Completely understand where they're coming from.

As for this decision, I just wouldn't play blackjack in those casinos anymore.

I usually play for the table but sometimes it just looks to good to pass up and I have to play for me.

Absolutely.

I usually try to find a table that is either empty of near empty. I like playing alone better than with a table full of people. Typically most don't really know what they're doing. :lol2:

Dealer will have a choice to hit or do they have to take a hit?
