Anybody have updates of this game? I'm calling the upset by North Oldham. I think their tough schedule has started paying off.

North won 74-67. Oldham came back from being 22 down to cut it to four with about a 1:30 to go, but that was as close as they would get.

Didn't they lose their coach a few weeks back? This makes the regional a bit more interesting. A district winner will have to face a district favorite that lost.

Not only did they lose their coach, but the parents and administration passed on the lead assistant, JV coach, Freshman coach, 8th grade coach, and went with the para-professional from the 7th grade team.

Are you serious?

Would you stay at North if you were on of those assistants?

Oldham played without their leading scorer due to injury and also a starting guard. Another player was carried off on a stretcher with 4 minutes left.

 

On a side note go the KHSAA web site and check out North's schedule. It definitely was brutal.

AWSOME!!! Those kids have been through a lot in their time at North. I'm glad something finally worked out in their favor. Great group of kids led by Seniors Kevin Allen and Alex Buckler. Matt Spencer should be one of the better players in the state next year too. Remember that name! Anybody know who they will play in the Regionals and have a time/date. I'm guessing it's still at Henry Co?

Who were the kids hurt for OC (by "leading scorer," do you mean Daniels, who's been out for a while, or did their new leading scorer get hurt too)? Will those kids be alright in time for region if this was the finals?

This should make for a very intereting first round matchup with Oldham and one of the district winners. Coach Forrest always seems to get the most out of his boys at region. Problem is, they have a 60% shot at having to play Shelby or Simon Kenton. We'll know for sure around 3:00 on Sunday

Never count out a Forrest-coached team at Region time. Always has his team over-achieving then.

 

I feel sorry for whatever district winner gets them.

Coach Forrest seems to always have teams competing this time of year. He seems like a model of consitancy as far as basketball coaches go. Oldham/Shelby first round would be an interesting game. North Oldham is much better than their record. If they are starting to gel the way they should then they could continue to upset some teams. Who is coaching the North team now?
