25 games sounds good to me

Most ridiculous post of the year award goes to you sir.

Maybe a 5 game suspension. Anything more is completely ignorant and ridiculous.

So if one of us assaulted an umpire we would get 6 months in jail, but for a player in mlb to assault an umpire 2 to 3 games is reasonable?

And most dramatic post of the year goes to you sir....

It'll be at least 10 games IMO.

Is the assault on video? I must have missed that.

He used a weapon "the Helmet".

Umpire should be suspended for three games and he should've thrown his bat at his face.

Wow. I can't wait to get home, and watch this video.:lol::lol:

Who was the umpire?

^ Bill Miller, I know how badly you wanted it to be CB.

Gotta love the comment section of articles...

UNMPIRE IS A TAMPA BAY RAYS FAN. THE RAYS ORGANIZATION "BUYS" CALLS FROM UMP. SIMPLE AS THAT.

He threw a helmet into the ground and it bounced and barely made contact. For you to claim that is assualt is pure hyperbole. I guess its assualt when a batter loses grip of the bat and it drills a fan too?

So he is not responsible for throwing the helmet? If you were to throw a helmet and it where to hit someone (directly or indirectly via bouncing off ground) would you not be responsible for it?
