May 17, 201214 yr But since they lose the same percentage of their salary per day. I think it is more about that. I get that. Why not just fine the guy(s) 5 days' salary; that way the effect on the team is the same? Like I said, I have a hard time sorting out these penalties.

May 17, 201214 yr Author The strike 2 call or pitch #5 was a terrible call and I'm sure that's what set him off when he was called out on the next pitch...The pitch he was out on was close but he still couldn't believe the pitch before...

The ump made a bad call. Then, he acted unprofessional by striking him out on another bad pitch because he thinks Lawrie made him look bad. When, in reality he made himself look bad by sucking. I stand by my initial comments.
May 17, 201214 yr Author I have seen some terrible calls this year...They need to start sending the Umpires up and down based on reviews and how bad they suck, just like the Players...:lol:

No However the umpire needs to grow a pair and suck it up rather than calling a guy out based on his pride being hurt from the pitch before...If you can't handle making a bad call and a player showing you up a bit ump t ball not MLB especially if your going to let it affect future pitches...
