newarkcatholicfan
Ian Rapoport @RapSheet The #Cowboys & RB Ezekiel Elliott agree on a 6-year, $90M extension that makes him the highest-paid RB in the NFL, sources tell me and @SlaterNFL Roughly half guaranteed. In all, it's $103M over 8 years—the 1st Cowboy to eclipse $100M in total value, the richest RB contract. Oldercoach
Despite all the bravado, Jerry blinked and set the market for elite running backs.

CincySportsFan
OBJ went to Ohio State? I think he's referring to Michael Thomas from the Saints.

Voice of Reason
Jerry is desperate. He is getting older and with a resume post the Jimmy Johnson built teams just above .500, he knows time is getting short for him to prove he can build a championship level team. The Cowboys have won just 3 wild card playoff games in the last 20+ years of Jerry.

bugatti
Dak has to be smiling last night as Goff was inking his deal to become the NFL's highest paid QB. Jerry was adamant coming into this deal that it would not reset the RB market, laying the foundation that Zeke should be giving a discount for his services. I never understand all of the cap stuff. So who knows if this still allows for wiggle room to sign Dak and Amari to what they feel they deserve.
