Who wins and why?

I saw a good idea from a UL blog today that suggests changing the name of this game from the Governor’s Cup to The Bourbon Bowl. That would be the greatest thing to happen in the history of this rivalry.

UK's formula for a victory:

1. Feed Benny

2. Repeat #1

Spread opened with UK as an 18.5 point favorite. Bet the mortgage on UK. I can easily see Benny flirting with 300 rushing yards in this game if they feed him.

Louisville won't get in the end zone against UK's starting defense.

Kentucky by a bunch.

I doubt that UL has beaten the spread even once this year. I see no reason why they will in this game. They are a completely demoralized bunch who can't wait for this torture to end.

Didn't he have more than that last year? I think that's well within reach on Saturday.

UL can’t stop the run and I think KY wins by 30.

I'll take U.K. and as the saying goes …. closer than the experts think.

A lot of people are picking a U.K. blowout. Although I would love just that, I think it will be relatively close. U.L. will play like they haven't all season. This one is their chance to get something positive out of a terrible season. Should it be a U.K. blowout, my only regret would be that B. Petrino wouldn't be standing on the U.L. sideline watching it, not being able to do anything about it.
