DB Cooper: Will the Mysterious hijacker ever be found?

DB Cooper, the mysterious hijacker of a Boeing 727 Commercial Airliner with $200,000. Some believe died shortly after jumping, some believe he's still alive to this day. He had jumped in between Seattle Washington and Portland Oregon.

 

The FBI Closed this case because the lack of nothing new coming up.

 

Thomas Colbert, an author and filmmaker believes he's found the real identity of DB Cooper. He believes that a 74 Vietnam Veteran named Robert Rackstraw and he believes that their's proof in the letters that DB Cooper had written in months after the hijacking and his disapperance.

 

However, some believe it's former military paratrooper and intelligance operative Walter R. Reca. According to a Michigan Publisher, Principal Media, they worked with Reca's best friend, Carl Laurin in compiling evidence. A guy with a similar name who lived in Michigan, died back in 2014.

 

So will the mysterious hijacker of DB Cooper ever be solved?

Anybody ever watch the show Leverage? They did an episode one time about this. In their scenario, the guy (DB Cooper) ended up marrying the stewardess from the plane, and ended up in the FBI, during which, you guessed it...he looked for DB Cooper. While totally fictional, it made you think of the different possibilities that could have occurred.

That also pretty much describes season 4 of Justified with the Sheriff Shelby Parlow / Drew Thompson story line.

no - he is most likely dead. Either he died shortly after the incident, or by now - old age. This was before the day of social media, status updates, and everybody knowing everything about your past.

 

It's not like you can just google, who was DB Cooper and get a credible answer. I don't see what new evidence could surface that would reveal his identity after all of these years.

 

The only way it happens is if he is still alive (which I highly doubt) and decides to come forward with evidence.
