Bahamas - Atlantis

Anyone been to Atlantis? Looking for suggestions on restaurants, etc...

Yes, years ago. Blown away by the size of the place. Don't remember specifics about the food.

The two Paradise Island Atlantis facilities are self-contained resorts.

Both are top shelf with a myriad of restaurants, casinos, pools, and entertainment venues. IMO there is nothing else worthwhile in Nassau.

Also jealous. My girlfriend is in her last semester of nursing school at NKU or I would've been making this trip. Looks like an awesome time.

I’ll try to come up with some game reports haha! I’m a diehard UK fan and I have finally come up with the time and money to go. I’ve gone to many SEC turnys but nothing like this. I’m especially excited to see how well this group progresses from Aug to March.

If a meal plan at Atlantis is not part of your package you will be in for a very rude awakening. While you will get plenty of food in the restaurants, you will pay through the roof for the food. It's good, but you will play dearly.

I went to the open practice for a little bit yesterday... it was about what you would expect from an open practice. Only thing that really stood out was how close this group seems to be. I never saw any instances of cliques like in the past couple years you would see around the program.

First game is tonight against the Bahamas national team at 7pm. The game is on SEC Network FYI

Herro is the cockiest guy I’ve seen around the program since Doron Lamb. If you were ever around D-Lamb you know that’s saying a lot.

Defense started out great but got lazy. They have potential to be scary good on D.

The possibility of going 3 bigs with Richards, Travis, and Montgomery makes me happy.

There is a large coach on the Bahamas’ bench that might have had a few too many rum runners... hasn’t moved in a long time. Concern is setting in...

Travis is a large, large human. If basketball doesn’t work I’d send him over to the Nutter Center and see if he wants to run some routes.

Hagans is very fast and seems to mentally thinking ahead of his next before before others take their first... I hope that makes sense. Closest to John Wall speed I’ve seen at UK. He will be special.

I look at Kenny Payne and I see D Bo from Friday and it scares me.

Only stayed for the first half. Going to go sell blood so i can pay for dinner on the resort. Highly recommend going off the resort for food if you ever come down. A grocery trip is essential

Drew Franklin said he paid $28 for a breakfast and actually didn't order very much. The place is expensive for sure.
