Science Friction
The Dodgers have lost 11 straight and 16 of their last 17 games, incredible for a team that is 40 games over .500. The 11 -game losing streak is the Dodgers' longest in 73 years. Their loss last night came at the hands of the Giants, who had been outscored 21-2 by the last place White Sox the previous two games. WOW!!! The Indians have won 19 straight games, just one win shy of tying the 2002 Athletics for the most consecutive wins in the last 82 years. WOW!!! Which streak do you think is most in more incredible???
Deaconjim
What`s more incredible to me is the Dodgers still have the best record in MLB . And still have a 10 or 11 game lead. Just goes to show you, win early and often.
CincySportsFan
The Indians streak, by far. There's quite a few ways you can lose games (bad defense, injuries, complacency, tough opponents, etc.) Very rarely can you play a bad game and win. Note - Streak is now at 20 games, following 2-0 win over Tigers tonight.
ManOfTroy
Both are historical and happening at the same time. The 20 game win streak is the second longest ever if you discount the teams with ties in their streak and all other streaks besides the A's go back the 1940s or earlier. The Dodgers are the first team ever to have two 10+ game winning streaks and a 10+ game losing streak in the same season and has to be the best team to ever suffer an 11-game losing streak. Picking one, I'd have to say the Dodgers because they were so hot before this point.
NKY Bandit
Dodgers losing. Even the Reds win a game every now and then. :thumb:
dpeevh
Not sure I'd want this win streak this late in season. There's no doubt when they finally lose, they'll be a huge letdown. Human nature. You want to peak before postseason but this is beyond peaking.

AverageJoesGym
The Indians have hit more homeruns during this streak than the TOTAL runs allowed to their opponent.

B-Ball-fan
Jay Bruce rips a double down the left-field line and drives in Jose Ramirez as the Indians win their 22nd straight game in walk-off fashion. Indians 3 Royals 2 F/
AverageJoesGym
Bruce, Bruce, Bruce..... Indians are 31-5 since he came to town, coincidence? He's hitting .253 since he came to town. I'd say it has more to do with the team having about a 1.50 ERA in the 22 game winning streak.

Can we let the Reds in on that secret?
dpeevh
Found myself watching this game more than Bengals last night. Felt and looked like playoff game.
Getslow
That Indians streak is something else. Twins are three games up on the Angels for a Wild Card spot and having their best season in almost a decade. During this streak they've gone from being about 4-6 games behind the Indians as they were for most of a June and July to being about 14 games out of the top of the division. Unreal. Science Friction
I'm rooting for the Tribe to win it all. How about no losses the rest of the season?
