Record Store Day 2017

Saturday April 22nd....two weeks from tomorrow. Anyone planning on heading that way to pick anything up? There are at least a couple of RSD releases that I'm going to be picking up. Several more that I'm interested in.

Any of the other BGP vinyl junkies and audiophiles planning on checking things out?

Where is the Record Store?

Not sure whether or not you're familiar, but Record Store Day is an annual promotional effort by the music industry at-large that's meant to promote the independent record store industry. Lots of tasty one-time releases that you won't find online or sold by larger retailers, more limited releases and re-issues, and it additionally ends up being a pretty big album drop day as well.

If memory serves, you're a NKY guy, so I know Shake It Records in Northside is one of the primary participants locally for you. There's also Everybody's Records up in Pleasant Ridge, which I know also participates. I'm not sure about Black Plastic in Northside, or Phil's Music & Memories in Latonia.

I've only skimmed the list and haven't zoned in on all of my targets, but I am definitely interested in both releases from The Cure and also Evan Dando.

I need to work on my wishlist.

I never knew I needed the Space Jam soundtrack on vinyl, but I certainly do...
