Quagmire
Final from the Igloo. Polar Bears jump out early in this one and control the first half. That carries over to the 3rd quarter where they achieved their biggest lead of 19 points. The Bluejackets would cut into that lead through the 3rd and into the 4th. With less than :10 to go Cooper Engnes fouls Tyler Newton on his 3 point attempt. He hits the shot and the free throw to send the game to ot. Lead goes back and forth with Nicholas coming out on top. Crawford leads all scorers with 38 in a losing effort. Nicholas now 7-10, Bracken 6-13.
mcpapa
So a 4-point play took this one to OT? Wow!
Quagmire
So a 4-point play took this one to OT? Wow! Yes! The rarest of the rare. I listened to the Polar Bear broadcast and was laying on the couch when it happened. I hadn't jumped up that fast since dinner was ready.
KY Legend
Where's all those Polar Bear fans that predicted a 10-20+ point win? Jackets showed BIG VALENTINES in second half! Big play after big play to close the deal. One superstar can't beat a team performance. Coach Newton is 4-0 in that gym over the past two years! Owns the Igloo!!! I absolutely loathe prediction threads because players, coaches and fans of those teams read them, trust me. No way should anyone have predicted a 10-20 point win for Bracken or Nicholas County

If Crawford's teammates are going to develop and come through in clutch situations they need to have their chances down the stretch. You make a very good point about one superstar can't beat a team performance. On the NC end it sounded like it was someone different every trip down while on BC's end it was all Crawford. He is a fine player but cannot do it alone. Kinda like Garrard for Paris last night against Augusta. He was completely wore out doing it all. If this is the future for BC then Crawford will score a ton of points but their record won't match up. There is talent there but standing by and watching isn't working. polarbear98
All that can be said is Holy Columbus Ohio  the rarest of rare 4 point play. My polar bears were rolling early but once The blue jackets started hitting from deep we stayed in a 2-3 zone :idunno: Coach Newton never gave up nor did his team they made all the right adjustments and wanted it more. Was really wanting to see a Bracken victory. But it is what it is and they will be back at next Tuesday night when the Paris Greyhounds come to Brooksville. Until then all Bracken fans will be ready for Saturday evening and the Lady Bears quest for the 10th region All A title. :thumb:

Randy Parker
Tough way to lose for the Polar Bears, but great work by Nicholas to come back, send it to OT, & then pull out the W.
KY Legend
Jackets started to get going at the Greenup tournament after Christmas. Big double OT win to finish 2-1. Had key injuries to Tyler Newton in the Pendleton game before the break then Devin Trussell with ankle and Ben Duncan with knee in the past 2 weeks. Key injuries have slowed this group. Played banged up tonight, but gutted it out. If they can stay healthy, they have shown some grit and fight that a senior group should. Huge coming out party for Nicholas' freshman, Spencer Morris, tonight. Got hot and carried them in the 3rd and 4th quarter run. Ended tied for second-leading scorer with 14 points. Trussell leads with 15 points, Newton and Morris go for 14, and Elijah Barnett with 13 points. Ben Duncan was huge with 9 points, but his toughness and rebounding saved them more than once. Team win! Jackets are 7-5 after 0-5 start.
