  1. What do you mean by this quote? Ballard has a nice team but, Eastern has beaten them on every level for the past two years. Eastern has one senior in their rotation so, everybody should get used to them being successful for awhile.
  2. Eastern is without their 6'7'' starting center. He suffered a jaw injury and may or may not be back for the KOB. The injury takes a toll on their depth. Eastern will really have to scrap until his return
  3. I'll take Eastern. Not too many teams play defense and rebound as well as they do.
  4. If Male can make Trinity one dimensional by stopping the run they have a chance. But that is a big IF. Male will have to rely on big plays because Trinity WILL shut down Male's running game. Trinity wins 28-13
  5. Two entirely different styles of football. Oldham is a power football type, whereas J-Town is more speed oriented. Both teams will field some very athletic players. J-town will rely on the big play, OC is more about ball control and wearing you down. I don't see the Chargers getting the big play vs. a very disciplined OC squad. OC wins this one 30-7
  6. Who can establish the line of scrimmage? Both teams profeiciant at throwing the football. It's a matter of who can run the ball. One thing for sure is there will be athletes galour on the field. I'll take Male 21-13
  7. Eastern H.S. Myron Pryor UK/ New England Pats Mike Mccoy WKU/Houston Oilers Rondell Menendez EKU/ New Orleans Saints, Washington Redskins
  8. Cresap in or out, doesn't matter, Fern Creek has more athletes and a stronger D The Creek 41-24
  9. Not sure where you gathered your info but, according to CJ they return 3 starters on defense and 6 offense. But, all in all I would venture to guess that they are not happy with their season so far.
  10. Did anyone get a chance to attend? Can you report some scores and tell us who looked good?
  11. Welcome to the world of Kentucky public schools when they play Trinity or ST.X. We hear a lot about how great the coaches are at these schools. Let us see how they perform when the odds are not stacked in their favor. With that said I will be rooting for Kentucky vs. Ohio
  12. Also, noticed after the game Eastern huddled in the end zone for a post game talk. Male's student body met them there taunting, which could have led to a dangerous situation. Unfortunate situation at a high school football game.
  13. Wow!!!!!!! Like to know how many coaches responded to this survey. Either the talent level in this state is the best that it has ever been or the coaches are the most naive. How in the world can NATIONAL recruits DeMarcus Smith(Seneca) and Jon Davis(Eastern) not be on this list. Both have multiple scholly offers as JUNIORS.
  14. On Saturday July 25th and Sunday the 26th Eastern's JR. to be Jon Davis competed in the National Combine Finals for NUC. Saturday's combine consisted of agility drills, one on one, and two on two. On Sunday the athletes competed in 7on7 drills. There were athletes from around the nation representing the classes of 2010,2011,2012. Jon was awarded the MVP honors for TE in the class of 2011:dancingpa The 6'3'' 235lb Davis was timed in the forty @4.6 and vertical @ 30 inches. More info on Jon and other results can be found on Rivals.com
  15. I know that some Louisville people are hoping to tweak the all star game. I think that they would prefer something like a 4 team round robin, with two games being played at the same location. For example Louisville region(1) vs Lexington region(2). Northern region(3) vs Western region(4). Then rotate on a yearly basis. This would allow for more kids to participate. Also, there would be a sense of regional pride and coaches selecting kids that they are familiar with. I'm sure that there are far more positive factors. If anyone has a better suggestion or can add feel free.
  16. According to todays CJ Coach Gilbert will not be retained by Ballard. Anyone have any info.? Who may be next in line?
  17. Exactly my point. How can you compare baseball facilities when you don't have any?
  18. Easy Big Jim, only one person's opinion. I don't think that any of the public supporters believe that they take in as much cash as Trinity, in order to build facilities.
  19. I don't think that Lonnie's troubles had anything to do with on field situations. I think that he left Seneca on his own accord, but I heard that his contract was not renewed in Cincinnati or at OC. If my statements are inaccurate please advise. When was Eastern's coach at Trinity.
  20. Gaines was #21, he had 27 pts vs team Kentucky! Could have played with Remy Abell with Derek Smith 16U, but chose to play up. Eastern will be in very good shape next year.:ylsuper:
  21. So you are saying that you have to be "bred" at the school to be a successful Head Coach?
  22. Rain, but if they do play I'm sure that Eastern will go with Dunaway
  23. Maybe the powers that be will consider combining the two.(Atherton and Iroquois). It could be a cost cutting measure and make them more competative. Whatta think?
  24. Most coaches go into to 7on7 tournaments with a goal in mind. For instance, they want to give their inexperienced kids competative reps. They may want to experiment with different formations or personnal packages. Maybe, they have a new coordinator that needs experience under fire. There are a plethra of reasons to in these tournaments and practices. To try and predict your season success on your 7on7 success would probably be a little foolish in most cases IMO
  25. Just beacause you come from a traditionally strong program, their is no guarantee that you will succed as a Head Coach. I believe that the precedent has been set with certain Coaches in a traditional power program.
