According to todays CJ Coach Gilbert will not be retained by Ballard. Anyone have any info.? Who may be next in line?

Has he been there very long?

This is dissapointing.

I don't understand why he was let go, his team played .500 baseball, but they lost 10 games by 1 run this year. McCombs didn't pitch much of the year either, you can't knock a coach for injuries. Gilbert is a good ball coach that's sad they let him go.

Every time someone gripes about all of the advantages Trinity has, I think I'll bring up Coach Gilbert. He not only ran a first class program, he also had a winning record against Trinity (and the rest of the seventh region too). It will be interesting to see if they find anyone that does as well. I hope not.
