thsrocks Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 Centrerock: Man, you are too quick! Trinity committed as many errors as Anderson County had hits-4 midway through the seventh. But Anderson returned the charity with three of their own and the Rocks rolled. Anderson scored twice in the top of the seventh to make it 7-4. Littrell was lifted with one out in the seventh and Armstrong and Fuchs recorded one out each to close out the Bearcats. RF and #5 hitter Bowling was held out as he tweaked his hamstring yesterday at practice. Looks like he'll be held out until a possible date at Applebee's Park, a week from Thursday, assuming Trinity can eek out a victory in one of the next two versus Anderson County. Anderson never let down and hung in there with Trinity. Plate umpire was very consistent and the base umpires were good. All 3 close plays at first were ruled outs! So, one couldn't claim favoritism. See you all Wednesday!!!!!:banana::banana::banana: 7th Region Champ shirts are available at the game in back parking lot for $5.00 (approx cost).
JIM SEYMOUR # 85 Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 Great game. Way to go Rocks. Should not have been that close but have to give credit to AC. They hung tuff and did not give in or up. Tough competitor. It may just be me --but when you think of all the outstanding Schools \ TEams & programs in Lou./ Jeff. Co. --pretty remarkable that we are the only one left standing.!!!! Great tribute to the Coaches and kids. Close it out tomorrow and lets go to LEX.:dancingpa
Linebacker1 Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 Luke Hawkins pitched for Anderson giving up 1 earned run. Jacob Russell came in to pitch final two innings. Good ballgame with Anderson just having too many errors early.

Bosox1 Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 (edited) Would be an even better accomplishment if it was a public school. Why's that? Edited June 3, 2009 by rockmom
JIM SEYMOUR # 85 Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 Would be an even better accomplishment if it was a public school. REally ??Isn't that an interesting take? Want to compare T's facilities, support, etc with - PRP, Butler, Eastern, J-town, BAllard, et. al. ??? YOu've got to be kidding.:idunno:

I don't think that any of the public supporters believe that they take in as much cash as Trinity, in order to build facilities.
Homerun Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 It may just be me --but when you think of all the outstanding Schools \ TEams & programs in Lou./ Jeff. Co. --pretty remarkable that we are the only one left standing.!!!! Bullitt East, the 6th region champ, is still in the hunt.
rockmom Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 Easy Big Jim, only one person's opinion. You may be confusing us with X.
JIM SEYMOUR # 85 Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 Bullitt East, the 6th region champ, is still in the hunt. Meant no disrespect nor to disparage. However, if you look at my post closely I was very careful to intentionally direct it to LOUISVILLE & JEFF. CO. SCHOOLS. Obviously neither of which BE is. Good luck to them but was trying to make a point about all the fine schools and programs WITHIN OUR COUNTY.
Orca1 Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 Ummm....Trinity has no baseball facilities. Zero, Zip, Nada. You may be confusing us with X. Exactly my point. How can you compare baseball facilities when you don't have any?
