Ballard 56 Trinity 53

Featured Replies

Ballard holds on. Biggest lead seven points all night. Trinity has three with 10sec to go to go up one which misses. Trinity defended well and dominated the boards and outshoots Ballard by about 15 shots but Ballard hits free throws late to hold on. Ballard had no dunks so transition defense was great.

Sewell with 27 for Trinity. Chiles leads Ballard with 23 and Jones with about 13.

Trinity controled the game but Ballard did what top teams do and found a way to win. Chiles was unstoppable in the 4th.

They will be tough to knock off this year!

Good win for Ballard. I expected them to win by a little more but I guess I was underestimating Trinity a bit.

Sewell with 27? Kid is tough. Charlie Coles got a steal with him.

Chiles and Jones continue to lead the Bruins. I'm really looking forward to seeing both Ballard, Trinity, and Eastern this week end in the KOB.

Ballard is very impressive and will get better as season progresses. I look for them to make a nice run into the Sweet 16.

I concur, good win for Ballard. I predicted a greater margin of win, but thought the game was at Ballard.

They have a way to go to beat Eastern IMO. Trinity has a nice team.

Means for Ballard is a talented player as well!

Actually, its the exact opposite.

Darn it was hoping T would pull out a win on this one! But it does sound like it was an exciting game??

One reason T lost, IMO, is that they think that they can't beat Ballard. This was a very winnable game for the Shamrocks but they just can't seem to get over the hump with the Bruins. I was very impressed with B's free throw shooting down the stretch. At one point in the 4th quarter, it seemed like they made about 10 in a row. For T, Epley worked himself inside for some nice, close-in shots but many would not fall (due in no small part, I'm sure, to Ballard's defense).

I hope to see J-town and Eastern to see how they compare to Ballard.

It's not the vaunted Ballard teams of past with Beckham, Ravon Lee, Jamal Crook, Grimes, Bender, and others, but I think they're in position to win out in the 7th with maybe one hiccup.
