Ballard's athleticism is what makes them so tough. They are extremely quick.

Trinity will be fine as the season moves along. They play great, tough-nosed defense and they have a number of sophomores in their top seven rotation.

Eastern doesn't have the depth this year that Ballard has. Ballard has the quickness and better perimeter scorers and defenders at the guard positions. Ballard appears to have the more physical players for the inside game as well though missing a true post player. Dow was the talent and glue that held it all together last year for Eastern.

I'd have to disagree with you as well. Ballard is very good, but not better than Eastern.

 

Eastern has a more complete team wheras Ballard relies on getting out in transition to make up for their lack of a true post game. Ballard struggles when trying to run an offense.

 

Easten on the other hand has size, athleticism, and quickness. They don't have to rely on transition points because of Gaines and Woods down low.

Agree, Eastern hasn't defended as well this year thus far and Ballard has. Ballard gets the edge defensively, greater pressure. Just ask Scott County and Jeffersonville.
