Agree, Eastern hasn't defended as well this year thus far and Ballard has. Ballard gets the edge defensively, greater pressure. Just ask Scott County and Jeffersonville.

Where's Scott County and J'ville in those averages? Ballard put the lockdown on J'ville to storm back from 17 2nd half. Not many teams in Kentucky nor Indiana could do that on the J'ville's court. The bench is narrow at Eastern, Dow will be missed way more than most think.

Ballard simply doesn't play good man to man half court defense. They rely on forcing turnovers with their press and getting transition points.

 

When they run in to a team that doesn't try to run with them but simply has good guards to beat their pressure, you're going to see them struggle some because they'll be forced to play a half court game.

You have a point here because Trinity handled the press reasonably well(most TO in half-court against Ballard's man pressure which was pretty good)and made it a 1/2 court game all night and certainly had a good chance to win.

Trinity is usually a very tough minded defensive team.

What do you mean by this quote? Ballard has a nice team but, Eastern has beaten them on every level for the past two years. Eastern has one senior in their rotation so, everybody should get used to them being successful for awhile.
