Bowling Green 6 Scott 4
In all honesty, why on Earth would a college coach say something negative about a recruit's team or an area high school team? By putting down a team, you run the risk of ruining the relationship with the coach. By putting down a team/performance you run the risk of losing the kid. I don't know a smart college coach that would say anything bad about a team that got to the state final, it's recruiting suicide.

Pleasure Ridge Park 81 Ballard 73 OT (LIT Finals)
22 games in 48 days in 3 states (KY, MO, TX) I think you could possibly say that fatigue played a part. Just saying even for high school kids, that's obscene. 10 days until their next game should give them some time to recover and get some things fixed. PRP with an impressive record since the New Year, they'll be a (big) player in March for sure.

Best dunk in HS game?
He jumped over Ty Proffit, not their center (Walt Allen). The impressive part was how far away he was and yes he literally jumped over the kid. Ty got the "tea bag" chant the rest of the game. Lee also had a nice reverse dunk over Andres Pegues of Western that year. Not to mention countless others.

Lexington Christian 68 Scott County 67
J-town should be in the top tier. They haven't faced any tough teams yet, but they will be in the top tier. Everyone will be talking about them soon enough.

Ballard, Seneca, Trinity in one district. Don't forget about J-town either, they're just as good as all of these teams.

Ballard 56 Trinity 53
Every level for the last two years? Sure they got the sweep last year in two very close games but 1/8/08 Ballard 72 Eastern 71 1/19/08 Eastern 66 Ballard 58 (LIT) 2/1/08 Ballard 78 Eastern 74 Might want to get your facts straight on that one.

Ballard 84 Scott County 81
If I remember correctly he had quite a few last year in Georgetown too. He really struggled with the pressure.

Ballard 79 Bryan Station 47
Now that I look at the rankings they aren't too far apart. Guess it was a good win?

Is Bryan Station down this year?

Jeffersontown 64 Ballard 63
Musta seen it differently on TV. I thought they called him for falling over his leg. Either way a great game, hard to see Ballard let it slip away like they did though.

Jeffersontown 64 Ballard 63
The last foul on Ballard was mega harsh. Ballard let it slip away for sure, but that was a horrible call at the end.

What Happened to the Student Support
Basketball homecoming is almost non-existant at Ballard. Football homecoming is the formal one. I never once attended a basketball homecoming dance (no one did), but I am surprised that they cancelled it, especially because I never remember them selling tickets to it either. Was at Ballard vs. Scott County this year though and BHS had a better student section than SC on a school night 1 hour away.

All games at the Gardens?

Ballard 74 George Rogers Clark 73
Don't read much into the whole storming the court thing. It's easy to do at Ballard and usually happens anytime it's a close game going down to the buzzer. Sounds like an exciting game...wish I coulda been there.

Best team in the last 10 years?
Bender went to U of L. I think he mighta lasted his first year but I cant remember correctly. And dryz I agree that 06-07 wasn't the only year that there were two great teams like that, but it was the only year where you saw a #1 and a #2 stay that way the entire year and have the #1 go undefeated in State and the #2 team only lose in state to the #1 team. That's what I was mainly referring to. It was purely a two horse race.

George Rogers Clark @ Louisville Ballard (2/20)
Ballard usually struggles in the half court especially with quality post play. If Zollo has a game I could see this going GRC's way, but I'll take Ballard.

Best team in the last 10 years?
I'd say the '99 and '07 Ballard and Scott County teams and add '03 Mason County and '04 Warren Central. As a homer I really liked the '05 Ballard team, they probably had more talent than the '07 team they just didn't have the desire (and Spillman walked). But the thing about the two '07 teams and especially SC is that it was a two horse race all year. Neither team lost to anyone ranked behind them and Ballard's only loss going into the Championship game was in the season opener. I think that SC team will go down as perhaps the greatest but I think Ballard should be on the list because it won the KOB and LIT in addition to losing to only the top ranked Cardinals in state. None of the other years in the last 10 years had two teams like that, let alone in the same year.
