Welch did not sit out last year to cheer. He sat out last year to focus on the weight room and prepare for the 07 football season. From what I have seen in the Madison Courier it has paid off. There are 8 applicants so far. I will not mention names. 7 legit, 1 with no prior coaching experience, but has played college ball. Looks good so far. This is a travesty! The award is called PLAYER OF THE YEAR, NOT CAREER OR WHAT WAS DONE LASTYEAR OR A PARTIAL SEASON! Daniel Neely took a team that is normally a middle of the pack team and turned them into a confident more than capable team. Neely has played the full YEAR even with injuries. Comes into a brand new system,coach,school, and town. I hope the coaches of the 8th that did not vote for him sleep well at night. You made a mistake! Congrats to all 8th team members!

Carroll needs to pick up a ball this summer and play and play and play together. Load up in the cars and go to madison, louisville, n.ky and play. Work on skills! Due to lack of height, work on foot speed and killer instinct! Fun comes through winning! So go put inthe work !
